Find out what Mediterranean restaurants to try in Giza. Spot a tourist in New York, and chances are you can’t be sure exactly why they’re in town. Broadway? Shopping? A quest to find the world’s best bagel? It’s anyone’s guess. At Giza, though, it’s pretty simple—travelers come here to see the Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. (Editor's note: Our list was compiled before political unrest prompted many countries to issue travel warnings for Egypt. If you're currently planning a trip to Egypt, please consider the risks and monitor your government's travel alerts.)

The restaurant was selected by our tour company and there had been a set menu pre-arranged. We asked instead for Koshari - a national specialty - with spaghetti, macaroni, lentils, chick peas, tomato sauce and fried onions. It was delicious. The manager was very accommodating as well as entertaining - what with putting on head dresses and his coffee cup trick. A very enjoyable lunch.

Sabaya may be rooted in Lebanese tradition, but Chef Walid Bazl is willing to branch out with contemporary flair. Mezzas are the magic of the menu, with hot and cold options including Kebbe Nayye, Stuffed Vine Leaves, Hommow Bil Awarma, Makanik and Cheese
A wonderful restaurant at Intercontinental Hotel. A peaceful retreat away from the hyper-active Cairo. The food is traditional Lebanese of excellent quality and variety. Please try one of their Egyptian wines as are excellent! The service is first class. We like it so much that came two times in one week!Dear Sir / Madam,Thank you for your kind review! We truly appreciate your kind words about our staff. It's definitely a boost for us every time we hear positive reviews such as this. We will be sure to let our staff here that they made an impact during your stay. We hope to welcome you back to the hotel soon!

Delicious creations and authentic recipes, perfected. Life is beautiful, taste it here!
O's is a small but very pleasant pasta restaurant. The middle-eastern influence is strong, but a Greek salad with a prawn, tomato and cream sauce was decent if a touch over-salted, although the menu's claims of a chilli kick were exaggerated. Friendly service, but the only toilet is in a restaurant across the road.Thank you very much! We've taken note of your remarks and communicated them to the kitchen.

Fairmont Nile City's latest Italian concept brings authentic Italian cuisine to the capital. The all-day dining restaurant starts its day with a lavish breakfast buffet before transforming into a stylish lunch and dinner spot. For a hip night out, enjoy c
We dined at the Italian restaurant the first night in Cairo, and the Saigon the last evening. Both are in the Cairo Fairmont Nile City. Both are disappointing and so I am reviewing them apart from the hotel which is quite wonderful.Like the Saigon restaurant, the Italian restaurant at Fairmont was very quiet. Perhaps price was a factor: when an average meal at ablocal eatery costs 10-13 Egyptian pounds, like the super-fun elbdet el prins , we paid 500 per person for mediocre and pretentious food.Like the Saigon restaurant review, I am giving this a thumb down because of the low quality and the high price. We two only ordered two primi (first course): a lemon pasta and a shrimp pizza. With two coffees and one tiramisu the total came to ~1000 E pounds. That would have been okay if the food was first rate. But it wasn't. The lemon pasta was a small portion and the so-called pizza was a 10-inch focaccia. I have never seen a restaurant serving focaccia AS pizza. Did the restaurant honestly think that people don't know the difference between focaccia, bruschetta and pizza?!There was one shrimp at the end of each of the six slices and a dollop of goat-cheese sort of thing at the other end. Neither a red (pizza rosso) nor white pizza (pizza bianco) was it. It was flavored bread with 6 shrimps and six dollops. No sauce. No olive oil that I could detect. The tiramisu was good but did not makeup the value of the dinner.Big thumbs down.Dear Valued Guest,We would like to thank you for taking the time to share your comments regarding your stay with us. We completely understand your frustration with regards to the unpleasant challenges that you have faced during your time at Fairmont Nile City and are very much disturbed that we did not successfully provide you with the level of hospitality service we constantly strive to achieve. Please rest assured that we take all of our guests' comments very seriously and constructively and will take all of the required steps to reduce any future inconvenience and sincerely hope for the opportunity to re-establish your confidence and trust in us.Thank you,Fairmont Nile City Team

The Grill presents the unique flavors of contemporary, traditional & brasserie French cuisine in an elegant ambience overlooking the Nile.
Everything about this place is just perfect, from the attentive level of service to the excellently presented and cooked food. The salad was spot on and the lobster bisque was warm and delicious. The steaks were cooked perfectly as requested, and for dessert the Valrohna chocolate fondant is to die for.Dear Guest,Thank you so much for your review of our hotel. I am pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. It's something our staff takes great pride in, so we value your feedback. We hope you will visit us again. Semiramis InterContinental Cairo
