We were staying at Masseria Gattamora and fancied a change from eating there. This place is just over 5 minutes away. This is a bar with a separate restaurant area and was very busy and buzzing. The house red wine was by the carafe and was cheap and lovely. They did some nice rosso beer, a change from the Italian lagers. We had an antipasto buffet at 5 euros a head, it had a great range of different vegetables. We didnât try them but the pizzas looked interesting, they sell them by the metre!!thank you so much Zappafanman!

The restuarant Manna dei Re (The Manna of the Kings) offers a mediterranean cuisine which includes meat and fish dishes. We pride ourselves on pampering our guests in a relaxing atmosphere with traditional fayre prepared in a creative manner by our Chef.
Went to this very excellent new restaurant in the small town of Minervino di Lecce. You canât go wrong ordering anything on the menu here. Worth the trip if you are staying in Otranto or anywhere near. All the fish we ordered was fresh and cooked just right: the tuna, the snapper, and salted cod. Everything was presented in a very picturesque way and tasted amazing all the way to the deconstructed tiramisu for dessert. Nice ambience and the a/c didnât hurt either. Lots of special touches, donât miss this restaurant. Bon Appetito!

Staff was well prepared and available. The ambientation is lovely.

We arrived at 8 to an empty restaurant and we were slightly concerned. However, within an hour, it came to life and filled up with couples, lots of Italian families. It is definitely advisable to book. It's confusing with appetizers, lst course, 2nd course, main course to us Brits, what we should be ordering. We asked how large the portions were and the charming waiter told us normal. Normal they are not! Huge is a better description. The food was really, really good. My husband had fish soup and it was an enormous platter of every type of fish you can imagine, including a large whole fish with head! He was full up after this alone. I had tuna in sesame seeds, with melon and balsamic. Delicious. Not cooked rare though but delicious and huge. We then went for mixed grilled fish and seafood with tomatoes and pasta. Again, huge but what wonderful flavours and quality. It also does brilliant pizzas which many of the local families were ordering especial for their children. Altogether highly recommended but my tip. For two, order one dish of each course perhaps to share.Dear wheresmyphoneThank you Very muchfor your beatiful words.RegardsDonna Elettra

We stumbled upon this place by accident really, and we were not disappointed! We went for a birthday lunch, and couldn't have been happier with our choice of restaurant. It was a beautiful setting sat outside in the quiet gardens, and the staff were exceptional throughout. Most importantly - the food was delicious, and the paired wines were absolutely perfect. Although on the upper end in terms of price, it was totally worth it! We even took home a bottle of local wine for £8 - total bargain.

A lively bar/ restaurant on the Main Street. A superb selection of burgers ( kangaroo, wild boar, venison, buffalo-,amongst others) with accompanying sauces and contorni. In addition, a great selection of al Spina beers. Down to earth, honest fare very reasonably priced.

There isn't a great deal of choice on the menu - but it's not really needed, as the few dishes they serve are done very well. We had local cheeses, meats, pasta and wine, so what more could you want?! Great value for money too, and a lovely setting where you can dine al-fresco.Thank you very much for your review. We are at the beginning of the work summer season and we want to offer to our guests only fresh products, and to be sure to satisfy the appetite of our customers. Very soon all dishes will be available. We wait for you the next time. Best regards from all the Staff

Matisse is a local restaurant in Uggiano, a relatively sleepy village just outside Otranto. We rated Matisse first for setting and ambience, first for food standard and choice and first for services and fair price. It is definitely worth the time to visit for dinner, would go back in a heart beat.
