We are a few small restaurant 40 seats kitchen is based on our tapas meats and fish have 1 special Menu all day
For no reason we can recall it has been far too long since our last visit but todays lunch visit reminded us just how superb this venue is! With some justification, "foodies" around Dénia wax lyrical about El Baret de Miguel Ruiz, as indeed so do we. Well, in my opinion, this restaurant is in the same class with amazing food and service.I am quite sure that if this was located in Dénia, it would be as hard to secure a reservation as Miguel Ruiz.

The difficulty is what fish dish to have for starters and then for the main course. Everything is delicious. In particular, try their "Llandeta", a fish stew - it's just delicious. You'll also have the bonus of beautiful sunsets so it's best to make a reservation for evening meals and check sunset times.

After many years of passing this restaurant and never knowing if it was open we decided to venture in and try the paella. It was delicious. Excellent service, lovely wine and superb value for money. The only down side was that we were the only customers which meant it lacked a bit of atmosphere. This is the only reason I have not given the restaurant five out of five. Iâll definitely be back and would highly recommended it to others.

We had eaten here two years ago when the service was excellent but the food was bland. We had tried the rather ridiculous 10 course tasting menu but found most of the courses were very bland and boring. When our friends booked a table for 4, we were interested to see if it had improved. We were totally ignored when we arrived even though we had booked. After 30 minutes we had to ask to be served a drink! It was a Saturday night but there were only 3 other tables occupied, all waiting for their food. The menu eventually arrived first in German and eventually we had to request in English. Everything sounded exciting with lavish descriptions. After another 30 minutes our order was eventually taken. Finally a free taster of goats cheese on a tiny slice of melon arrived. Very pleasant. After another ridiculously long wait our starters of tempura prawns arrived which were tasty but tiny. Onto another long wait until our mains eventually arrived! The pork was said to be good. The Moroccan chicken was very bland with a couple of small grilled fillets, just a few raisins and no sauce! It was accompanied by tasteless chips with a bowl of tomato ketchup. Not exactly the fine dining we had expected. I had ordered the beautifully described special Galician steak and was excited by its arrival. I had ordered it al-punto or medium rare but when it arrived one cut revealed it to be totally dry and tepid. I had no option to send it back as it was a costly 25 euros. Eventually the replacement arrived and was plonked in front of me. It was still medium rather than rare but when the cook stormed out of the kitchen to demand if there was any reason his second attempt was not acceptable, I felt I better accept defeat!!!! At least it was warm! Not exactly perfect customer service!A desert or coffee was not offered and we decided after waiting 3 hours it was not worth the further extended wait. Sadly we shall not return and I would recommend others to avoid it!!!! The establishment is run by one very inefficient male waiter and one extremely slow male cook.

The food here was neither particularly creative nor Mediterranean in style--I'd call it standard good-quality central European. While not exciting, there was nothing to complain about, either; everything was cooked to perfection, salted just right, and served at the proper temperature. Friendly, attentive service. There was scarcely a vacant seat--be sure to reserve. Excellent value.

We visited with my in-laws who live nearby. It was a really wonderful evening. The restaurant looked magical with beautiful Christmas decorations. Lovely service from one of the most charming and efficient waiters we have ever encountered. The proprietor who manages front of house is equally charming and made us feel very welcome. The food was out of this world. Really superb. We honestly couldnât fault it at all and canât wait to return on our next visit. Quite a few reviews mention the price but we thought for what we had it was very good value - three courses each for four people, two aperitifs, two bottles of wine and four digestifs for 250e. For a meal of that quality that is very reasonable.

Excellent presentation but that's about where it ends. This is an ordinary establishment in an unremarkable town that offers set evening menus for 18, 20 or 25 euros. The prices are FAR too inflated and much better value and quality may be had elsewhere. At many other places can enjoy a really excellent menu for 15 euros and it will include half a bottle of wine per person, not just one measly glass! The steak served for the 18 euro menu was a very strange cut of meat and each slice contained a bone. It was more bone than meat. The fancy desserts are presented with a large wafer of caramelised sugar. It looks grand but you could break your teeth on it. My dessert was supposed to be like apple strudel. It consisted of four slices of baked apple underneath a hard biscuit with a blob of ice cream and one of these giant wafers. Very disappointing. As I said, all fur coat and no knickers. Save your euros and go elsewhere for an evening meal.

Restaurant Estanyo commitment cuisine great aspirations. In the elegant atmosphere of our establishment, we are pleased to offer both classic dishes, such as the most recent creations. Feel free to come visit.
This is our second visit and it was as good as the first - which was fantastic. The waiting staff are exceptional and the food first class. Be sure to book a table and your choise of paella.Thank you very much for this excellent review and for repeating in our restaurant, we hope there will be a third time soon.

Honestly the food here is consistently good, and it's well presented in a pleasant setting. I think because the owner serves his guests and his wife cooks and now his daughter works there the standard is always high and you can be sure to have a great meal.If you want to make changes to portion size or you have any small amendments they are happy to help.Always enjoy it here and we don't go often enough but we will return Thank you very much for letting us this review. We are glad that you enjoyed our restaurant and we can't wait to see you back soon!

A warm and friendly international meeting-place where you can enjoy great foods and drinks at a very reasonable price while enjoying looking out over the Mediterranean Sea.
Went here with family for dinner. There was a band playing on a Thursday night who were very good. There wasn't much choice for vegetarians and the one dish we did choose wasn't available so we only had 1 other choice which was fried cheese with vegetables, it was ok but wasn't the most inspiring dish. The team were very friendly and spoke English and there was a mix of Spanish and English diners here. It was quite busy so I would suggest booking if you are a group coming here to dine.
