Taperia is an authentic Spanish tapas bar serving regional dishes from around Spain in a setting that feels more Madrid than London.
Visited Taperia yesterday with my work colleagues and had an outstanding time! The food was outstanding with lots of options for the meat eaters and vegans in the group. The service was great the staff catered to all our needs. Great cocktails too. All of this was followed by karaoke with DJ in a separate karaoke room. Ideal for any occasion definitely worth a visit!

Havenât been for a little while but the welcome form the staff is always warm!Very busy today but we luckily got a table as someone left :) Staff accommodate your needs when it comes to ordering! Food is cooked well and not greasy at all! And I like that you get a choice of bread not all cafes have that! I like the granary and my oh just has white bread. Granary is very fresh and obviously brought in daily which I like! Also shows they donât skimp on the small things. Not sure about the other review but I couldnât smell the cooking other than the food that was brought out, and we sat near the counter also never had a problem with the sausages either!Toilets very clean and tidy, and overall the cafe is very well maintained.Staff very attentive although they did try to clear my other halfâs plate while I was still eating which could have waited. May seem petty to mention it but I like to be fair with my reviews.Highly recommend this cafe and wouldnât go to another one in the area, this is the best locally in my opinion!

This is such a cute restaurant! Small, quaint and full of traditional items to look it. The staff were friendly and welcoming. They have an extensive menu with a range of Mediterranean dishes and a handful of other cuisines i.e. pizza, burger... the price range is approximately £12-£20 give or take. The presentation of the food was great and it was quite tasty. Definitely will return. Make reservations for larger parties particularly weekend afternoons (not sure about weekdays).

Aqua Mediterranean Meze Bar and Grill is the brainchild of two highly experienced chefs, Dasos Charalambous and Dario Nardo. Both have trained and worked in some of London's top hotels and seized the chance to open their own restaurant when the right prem
No discount - lies - deception - would avoid. We chose to visit this restaurant to take up a 25% discount offer through Dine Card. Phone rang constantly engaged to begin with so couldn't get through to book. On arrival I made this clear & said I wished to use my Dine card. I spoke to barman and waitress about this showing them their restaurant, 25% reduction with the app. We ordered evening set menu. On payment at the end I was told two stories: discount not accepted on set menu from barman, (not specified in Dine Card app), & he called for waitress who said she didn't understand I was using Dine card and that I should pre-book. All this so we would not get a discount. This made for a sour end to what could've been a pleasant evening. I will not revisit.

Iâd eaten here a couple of times as a kid and always liked it. Recently a colleague whoâs parents are from the Galicia region recommended the restaurant, which certainly is high praise for the authenticity of the place. Last night I came with the other half. The restaurant was extremely busy, but the staff were doing a fantastic job. There wasnât a table ready straight away so we had a drink at the bar, and were seated surprisingly quickly. We ordered mushrooms with spinach and ricotta, some chorizo, artichokes with ham, and cannelini beans with pork. All of it was delicious, and the portions were big. Despite only ordering 4 plates and some bread we had leftovers to bring home. Even with a couple of drinks the bill came to less than £40. Despite being extremely busy we didnât have to wait to long for our food. I will definitely return.

An enchanting, independent family business that promotes a healthy fresh food focus with authentic Mediterranean cuisine.
The meat was cooked nicely and good variety on menu but nothing else good to say, except female waitress was very pleasant. We arrived and they said would you like a nice 'quiet' table and we got taken to the back to a table without ambience and by the toilets we said we would rather not be there and then he said that the only space I have! I had booked 6 weeks in advance and there were 2 large tables in the middle empty..The food wasnt bad but all lacked flavour. Sangria very disappointing. Waiter rude - my cousin asked for dessert menu while we were finishing our mains as shenis heavily pregnant andnwas craving something sweet. He said no you have to wait, I still need to clear you table and clean it!Then my aunt and mum asked to have their mains packed as they managed onlyna quarter of it. He came and dumped the disposable foil containers next to them and walked off!! No assistance or anything and consider it was an sloppy mistake I'm not sure how he expected them to transfer it into that neatly. Very very disappointed.Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We are sorry to hear that we fell short on your expectations in some areas. At The Med Kitchen we strive to provide excellent service. Your helpful comments are much appreciated and your feedback will help us to continually improve the standards of facilities and service offered to all our guests. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.

On Motherâs Day I managed to get a last minute table for three here at lunchtime which was fantastic. The lady on the phone really tried to help me out and I was very grateful. My mum and brother ordered lamb dishes and I decided to go for the hot meze platter, swapping the calamari and chicken wings for hummus and avocado salad. The restaurant didnât appear to be busy when we arrived but we did have to wait quite a long time for our drinks. When they were brought over, we were also given some complimentary delicious toasted bread, olives and balsamic vinegar with olive oil. All were very tasty indeed and Iâm very glad that they did give us these, as our mains did not arrive for well over one hour. There may have been a mix up, as the waitress asked if my meze was a main or a starter (after the order had been placed some time before) and we confirmed that all were mains. Even so, it was a very long wait. When the food arrived, we were all very pleased and found it all to be delicious. I particularly loved my meze of different things. It was only towards the end of our meal did I realise that the halloumi had been forgotten. When the waiter (or owner perhaps) came over, I mentioned it to him and he was very apologetic. He said he could get it cooked for me but as the meal was now over, I declined. In the end he said he would give me a discount because of the error. He was genuinely upset about the whole thing, but these things do happen. When we asked for the bill, he had indeed reduced it which was very good of him. This is a lovely, quaint and friendly restaurant. The food is consistently good (I have eaten here many times over the years) and I highly recommend it.

Welcome to Basil & Grape; the newest addition to Croydonâs ever changing bar and restaurant scene! We are an Italian restaurant and wine bar boasting some of Italyâs finest labels as well as some select wines sourced from across the globe; on offer at our
I've been here twice now. The first time was great, we were served by Beth. Last night I came along with my boyfriend and we were served by Jack. Also great. Both staff members super friendly, chatty and accomodating. You could see the team working hard. It did get very busy at one point and I could tell everybody was rushed off their feet, but we were in no rush to leave and happy to wait a little longer to ensure everybody received the same level of service. The food was fantastic, presentation excellent, great portions and wide variety of meat and cheese on the sharing board for 2. Extensive wine list, great gin menu and a really lively buzz to the place but with a Mediterranean chilled out vibe at the same time. Will be back for our third visit soon, want to bring my parents to experience the Basil & Grape vibe and to try that monster sharing board for 4 A unique little gem of Croydon.... Thank you guys for a lovely night X

Fine dining Italian restaurant with class and character. A piece of Italy in the centre of East Croydon.
We visited with friends for dinner and were not impressed with the quality. The restaurant is rated highly, but I've had better tasting dishes at other restaurants'.Ambience was good and restaurant well presented.Food was not heat hot and lacking that punchy Italian flavour and taste. The pizza was average and pasta was bland.
