Costa de Caparica (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈkɔʃtɐ ðɐ kɐpɐˈɾikɐ]) is a Portuguese civil parish, located in the municipality of Almada along the western coast of the district of Setúbal. The population in 2011 was 13,418, in an area of 10.18 km². Since December 2004, the Costa de Caparica has been designated as city within the urban hierarchy of Portugal.

We went on a Monday night for dinner. The cover included bread, olives and a soft cheese. I had the fish of the day-battered and fried with rice and salad. The fish was not super crispy but well cooked and moist. The rice was good with a few vegetables in it. I would have liked more salad and less rice but that's me. DH had grilled meat-pork I think with rice and fries. We shared a pitcher of house white. Desserts were good especially the house made pudding.

Take the boat from Belém to Trafaria and have a meal at Casa Ideal. You will love to cross the river but on top, you can have a very tasty meal. Try the fish... we got "Polvo à Lagareiro" (grilled octopus with potatoes covered with Olive oil) and it was very very good and grilled Cuttlefish, very Soft and grilled properly. Great cold beer, tasty and homemade deserts. Honest people and mainly, honest food. Kind Service. Fair price for the quality we got. 38⬠2 pax. Recommended!!!

I'd like to be writing a better review but the food was average. Servis was really good. Hats off to the team.The kitchen let us down though & for this reason we probably shall not be back.

It is disappointing to visit a restaurant that previously was good, which service and food quality has decreased so much. Would certainly not come back or recommend anyone to eat at this hostile environment.After being received with a very in the corner cluttered staff and a cold welcome, our order was taken. We had ordered steaks, which have been told by the second waitress* that they would be served medium cooked. Let me tell you, 2 of dishes were served wrong, with completely different sauces. Once pointed out, the waiters took them back and corrected the mistake. Because one had to initially wait about 15 min for the food to come out, the appetite was pretty much gone with the very chewy steak and the sauce that was anything else but Portuguese style. Not once did any of the waiters ask if everything was okay or if we needed more drinks, which is the minimum after bringing the wrong dish to the table. We didnât go for deserts. Instead asked for the bill, but the waiter was very helpless managing the card terminal. Also note, communication skills or soft skills overall were lacking amongst the staff members. To sum up the food was overpriced for the service and quality. *yes we were served by 3 different members of staff. None of them transmitted confident attitude towards what they had on the menu or what they sold at this establishment.We have to apologize for the mistake.We like to be perfect but it's not easy - sometimes ...But we want to tell you that 15 minutes is a correct time to make and serve a steakAnd if it was not cooked to your liking you should have refused it and asked for another

I visited this restaurant with friends and absolutely enjoyed every moment of it. The service is phenomenal and the food is exquisite. I recommend the leitao. I would definitely visit again!!!

Look very attractive, nice welcome, sympathy and attention from personnel, but food quality is poor, considering the fish and the vegetables. Not deserving the high price.If the meal was poorly made or not to your liking you should have asked for it to be replacedComing to complain later is ridiculousIt makes us think that after all it was not so bad

It is safe to say the prices are decent and service courteous. But this last time being with small children we were barred entrance, it was 11:45, they only open at 12:00.Pretty stupid!

We are truly satisfied with the service, amazing waitress who made the evening great, the food was high quality and tasted great! The steak tasted very diffrent , so not for everyone but everything else was great!

We wanted to try out some special seafood (like clam or crab) on our last evening in Portugal, and how lucky we were to choose Sotavento! We were total novices with this type of food, but the staff was super kind and helpful, they taught us how to eat our meal, bought extra napkins and made sure we have a great time in their restaurant. The food was also great, and I really recommend the fresh juices too.
