I'm here at the moment. Have come in from the rain just for a beer and wow the staff are so so friendly!! We haven't eaten but the Beer is good and the ambience is lovely. Very relaxed and easy to pass hours here talking and enjoying the views. Good work. Will definitely be returning. A warm welcome on a cold day. Muchas gracias por su opinión. Esperamos volver a recibirle pronto.

I've been to El Gallinero for a business lunch and at first I was impressed by the place. It is really big and nicely decorated, ambiance is nice and tables are beautifully dressed. The menu looks good and ample, and we chose a salad to share in between three people, which was difficult to do because of the way it was assembled, nice for one by impossible for the centre of the table. We then shared the huevos con chistorra that were nice, and then came disaster. We ordered "lubina" and "Dorada" which were offered with different vegetables and supposedly were cooked in a different way but it turned out to be the same thing on different fish. A bit disappointing really.Desserts were nice, and service was quick and efficient but something happened at the kitchen and they did not even bothered to explain..First time I see this in a restaurant with these prices...

We had Cocino here... which for us being Dutch does not have the nostalgic connotations it apparently has for Spanish eaters. It is still a nice experience : chick pea stew with meat and sausage. The outside seating is spectacular and a bit secluded so even in March quite nice. Recommended!

The lady serving us was funny and entertaining and the kids liked her a lot. They were surprised to see that there was a large variety of burgers and all choose a burger, so we ended up with four different burgers, six in total. They were served with a very small serving of fried potatoes, but otherwise they were rated very highly. Desserts were good too. Kids were offered to try various icecreams and settled only after tasting a spoon of each. We took the carrot cake and browny. So both the quality of the food and the service were great.Dear Willem:Thank you very much for your review. We are very happy for having provided a pleasant experience in our restaurant and hopping see you soon.Regards!

I've visited several times for a "menu del dÃa", or daily set menu, which is unbeatable value (you can choose from two starters and two main dishes - all delicious). The restaurant itself is adorable - small and cosy in an old stone building, with an open bar downstairs. Service is excellent, and everyone is super-friendly. Highly recommended!

The staff are friendly, the food is excellent and the prices are reasonable, what more can you ask for. Roast chicken is beautifully cooked but there is so much more to choose from.

Nice historic house restaurant with a lovely private garden. Located in the center of Torrelodones, next to the town hall and the church. Fully renovated recently. Highly appreciated gastronomy with the best products in the market, treated by expert chefs
To clarify 1 of the best meals in a Spanish restaurant. Well presented. Excellant surroundings. English speaking owner helps us Brits Abroad. Value for money a definite bonus. This place deserves to do well.
