Nice little restaurant, which was quite noisy and busy. It's just across the Italian border which gives a nice touch to your skiing holiday in the Nassfeld skiing area. We had some great pizzas but the Pasta Carbonara I had was disappointing. It's a good change from the more common Austrian restaurants in the Nassfeld area though.

We visited for lunch in late March, with some Austrian friends who had kindly booked a table in advance, in the corner with amazing views of the Julian alps and the wonderful snow that was covering the resort at the time. As it turned out we were the only ones in the restaurant (presumably everyone else taking advantage of the great skiing conditions), which made it like a private dining room. The whole meal for four, with main course, two carafes of wine, two desserts and three coffees - as I remember - came to around 90 euro, which seemed wonderful value, as the views came free! We all had different main courses, one being a pasta dish, one wild boar meat and I enjoyed the ossobuco, which had plenty of lovely, tender meat on the bones.A thoroughly enjoyable meal in wonderful surroundings, pleasantly served - what more could one ask for?!

We were staying at the nearby Top Rafting Rooms and this restaurant was the logical choice. We didn't regret it. Very fast service, huge pizzas, great calamari, great beer, very nice staff. We went every evening of our stay in Bovec.Recommendation: Calarmis Tris and Pizza Poletna with extra crudo

Some years ago I visited Ristorante Da Michele and was not impressed. As there are many good restaurants on the SS13 between Tarvisio and Udine and even some excellent restaurants, the need to revisit Da Michele during our trips in the Friuli was not apparent. However, this time we resolved to give Da Michele a second chance and really try to like the restaurant without prejudice. I have to report with regret that it was no good. The pizza had a flat taste and a tough base, the sort of quality we expect from a pizza joint in the Netherlands and what they did with my favorite dessert, panna cotta, I will never know, but I know that the dish gave me indigestion. Furthermore, the service of the staff was again surly and chaotic. I don't think I will give Da Michele a third chance.

Locanda molto semplice a prima vista ma si magia molto bene. La specialità è lâorso ma anche le grigliate miste ed i primi piatti si difendono bene. Cosigiatissimo !!

Il Restaurantino near Tarvisoi is one of mine favourite restaurants. When going for dinner, I find the service really friendly and knowledgeable, the food memorable, the wine selection interesting, and the drinks tasty. The sea food is unforgetable and you will discover that it's always fresh. My absoulite favourite are the gnocci with scami - you have to try them!

Great menu almost entirely with local/regional products. Family-run in a small cottage out in the fields. Doesn't get any better than this - Slow Food in perfection.

We stayed here 3 nights and ate at the restaurant every night. We really liked the food witch felt made with the heart. The menu changes almost every day depending in the material available. The hotel is another story which I don't consider in this review. The beds are very uncomfortable. The is some kind of ventilation starting every 15 min which wakes you up. It is however very cheap.

We were looking for somewhere pretty to stop after coming over the Predil Pass and then round some of the Italian Julien Alps.We did not want lunch as we were due to dine out in the evening but were looking for coffee and a cake.I spotted the turn off, and we drove in an unpromising entry from the road into a pretty pool, with two perfect white swans gliding around on fish-filled waters. It was a beautiful day, the Signora serving us showed us to a pleasant table and then showed us what we could have. We decided the pick-me-up of a tiramisu was just what we needed: it and the coffee was perfect. Friendly service with a lovely smile.Bill less expensive than we anticipated for such surroundings. Clearly popular with Italians, Germans and Austrians judging from the conversations around us.Would love to go back for a meal if staying in the area.

I realize not to expect ;positive service in Italy so when it occurs as here it should be mentioned. Our waitress was very good, and quick and pleasant and spoke German, English and Italian, and quite rightly refused to speak French. The veal escalopes with mushrooms were first class. The local white wine good. Deserts divine, we ordered more. And a pleasant garden courtyard in which to sit.
