Il Castoro looks like a large wooden cabin at the bottom of the hill from Castelvecchio. Inside it's a very welcoming restaurant which gives the impression of being a typical Italian country restaurant....which it is. It serves fantastic local food, in particular meals made with truffles and various wild boar recipes. The pizzas and pasta dishes are good too!! We've been here a few times and the service has always been good and the quality of the food is consistently good. You must try the truffle omelette, one between 2 people is enough.

An albergo with restaurant near Silvignano. Very tasty Umbrian food. We ordered bruschetta; a regional flat pasta dish with cheese and vegetables; grilled lamb; grilled vegetables; desserts and coffee. Everything was very flavourable. The waitress was delightful and helpful. The bill came to 50 Euros including 1/2 litre of wine and water.

Merged in the enchanting landscape preluding to the Monti Sibillini National Park, in the heart of green Umbria, is the Hotel Locanda Cacio Re from an ancient 16th century refurbished farm. Inside, you'll find comfortable rooms, named after local legends
As part of a Collette tour, we participated in a cooking class and enjoyed the meal the chef prepared using the food items we made which included roughly cut pasta, ravioli, focaccia, tiramisu and semi-freddo. The staff was great to work with and we learned a lot about traditional Italian cooking in the Umbrian region. After the class (while the chef worked his magic), we enjoyed a tour of the adjacent village led by the chef's son. The area is beautiful and I would recommend this to people who enjoy preparing food.

My husband and I came here with a friend and have never forgotten this place. The owner came to the table without giving menu's. Our friend told him: surprise us!He instantly came up with things to make suggesting a few starters, two different pastas to taste, a large quantity of grilled meat with truffel and oven potatoes and a choice of dessert.Every single thing that he brought us was delicious, tasteful and made with the heart. Also the price was in perfect balance with quantity and quality. But honestly for the food that I've got there I would have paid anything without complaining.Go there and let them surprise you!

The dishes we offer are the result of our passion and our love to the kitchen and to the good things that this earth knows us. We start from a basic product that is oil, we use only oil of our production (NB olive oil is also used for frying) for beef and
We were at le Casaline 5 years ago and returned with great pleasure. The food is consistently excellent, the service friendly and efficient and it was a pleasure to meet again the gentlemen who has served us 5 years ago. Very nice location, beautiful terrace and great views. Again a real pleasure

La Casa Rosa is not merely "the local restaurant"; it is the heart of Castello di Postignano. The cuisine is simple and traditional. Its philosophy is also simple: respect tradition and use only the best ingredients. Hosts Michele and Maria Fulvia, immedi
Take a little drive up from Spoleto off the beaten path to find this castle on a hill where there is a beautiful little restaurant with some of the most incredible views you have ever seen. The prices are more than reasonable and the food is as fresh as can be. And the menu is traditional, yet surprising, offering something for everyone. A fantastic treat! And the people here are absolutely wonderful, loving, kind, caring artists of food and service.

As soon as you walk through the door of this restaurant you notice it has a warm, modern ambience. The food is great; virtually everything is home produced and the young, enthusiastic owners provide a friendly service. We didn't have the antipasto but when we saw it we wished we had; our wood-fired oven pizzas were fab, as were the home-made desserts. The wine list is almost completely local, but like the rest of this place, had a little bit of something different about it. The prices throughout the menu are very reasonable. We'll definitely be paying another visit.

This area of Umbria is known for pork, but this restaurant also serves other meats, fresh trout from the nearby stream, as well as delicious pastas and salads. We came for lunch and loved the selection of local pecorino (sheep) cheeses. In fact we came back for dinner and had the equally excellent selection of caprino (goat cheese). My wife had the âfish and chipsâ for lunch, with excellent fresh trout, and had the crusted trout filet for dinner. I had a delicious cacio and pepe (cheese and pepper) ravioli with black truffle sauce at lunch and a very special vegetable dish at dinner. The cooking and plating were both inventive and satisfying. As was the millefoglie with caffè corretto cream for desert. I wish I lived nearby! We also enjoyed some very good local wines at both meals.

We had a quiet lunch here during our summer holiday on the outer terrace which was al fresco dining of the best kind. Attentive waiter and friendly owner who was very courteous. Perfect Umbrian cuisine. We'd cooked the same 'prodotto tipici' in our self catering house but fancied a rest and let the chef take the strain, we we're not disappointed in the quality. The inside of the restaurant is carved out of the rock with an impressive wine cellar which really is a cave. The best place to eat near Cerreto or Borgo. Luigi e Christine
