Reviews on Mediterranean food in Capri, Province of Naples, Italy. Capri is pure romance—dramatic views, the bluest ocean you’ve ever seen, even the scent of lemon blossoms in the air. The luminescent Blue Grotto, striking Faraglioni Rocks and the Palazzo al Mare are popular with travelers, but for a real treat, snorkel at Marina Piccola beach. It’s said to be the spot where Odysseus nearly succumbed to the Sirens’ song… a fitting legend for this alluring island.

Wonderful service from the owner. We went to order an appetizer with 2 courses and he told us it would be too much to eat...and he was right. Not only was he honest, but the food was excellent. Would definitely come back. TRY THE POLPETE (MEATBALLS)!

Great hospitality, great food well presented, and finally an excellent pastry.
This place is amazing. Everything was perfect. Service food and drink. The egg plant balls were great. The rack of lamb so good and flavorful. The tiramisu might be the best Iâve ever had. Donât pass it up.

Would like to do a review on this place as it deserves some......adorable, food smelled wonderful! Barbecue chicken
Found this restaurant on our walk to Villa Jovis and so enjoyed it on our first night that we came back for our second night in Capri. Good pasta, salads and dessert, good pizza and good house wine. Good service and personable servers.Even though it requires a 10 to 15 minute walk from the main Capri Centre, we can highly recommend it

We recently had lunch here, a great recommendation by the taxi driver that dropped us to this part of Capri. Welcomed by a lovely smile. Maria was an excellent hostess, really took care of us. Food, wine and views were amazing. Great hospitality and a huge thank you to Maria.

Good local food in fantastic location next to the clock tower overlooking the square. You always need to book just to be sure as itâs quite small which adds to its charm.Staff are attentive and helpful in explaining menu, ingredients to non Italians.Have been before and will return again if weâre lucky enough to visit Capri again.

This was my favorite meal overall from 10 days in Italy. First of all, it's not packed with tourists like many of the places we ate. The chef was very flexible in tweaking menu items to make them gluten-free. The black pig sopressata was a fantastic amuse bouche. The "like eggplant parmigiana" was absolutely delicious. The gluten free pasta was very good as well, and presentation of the tiramisu-like dessert was very cool. Tasty as well! All in all it felt like a special occasion dining at Da Tonino. The staff were all excellent--attentive and professional.

We were trying to get away from all the terrible tourist food in the square for a good meal, and we certainly found in here! The views from this beach club are incredible, and the waves crashing are a lovely soundtrack for the meal. The food and service were outstanding, I wish we had had time to return for another meal!

This was the most disappointing meal we had in Naples. The food wasnât bad. It just wasnât up to the standards weâve been spoilt it in Naples. The highlights: â Eggplant Parmesan. This was very good. The highlight of the meal. â Spaghetti with clams. This was decent but not great. I really like the el dente cooked pasta in general in Italian restaurants but this was really too undercooked.â Gnocchi with tomato sauce: This is something we could have easily had In the US. The tomato sauce was nothing special and certainly not the high quality typically available in Naples. â Pizza with tomatoes four different types. In one word: disappointing.Dear customers We are very sorry to read that your experience has not been in line with your expectations. Letâs answer to each point. The pasta. Our pasta itâs artisanal and, as every kind of artistanal pasta, is imperfect unlike the industrial ones and probably the perception you had itâs due to the amid that this kind of pasta releases during cooking time and of course industrial kind of pasta does not have this amount of amid released. About the pizza. We make pizza with the best raw materials and we use fresh and seasonal tomatoes. About the gnocchi. We are very happy to read that in the USA you have good gnocchi as we have! Beside the joke: if you are still in Naples we would be happy to cook for you once again (please ask the staff for the General Manager) to introduce you in our world.

Villa Jovis was the large villa where the Emperor Tiberius spent his stay in Capri. In this majestic imperial residence that is designed today the restaurant Villa Jovis, a place where you can sample the finest Mediterranean cuisine surrounded by arches,
My expectations were pretty high after reading all these amazing reviews, but unfortunately the place didnât quite meet them. The view was very nice, but the food was average at best and wine wasnât my favourite either. The male waiters were very friendly and welcoming, but the girl who served us didnât smile even once and spoke only the stuff she absolutely must say, nothing else at all (note: we are Finns so we donât mind the lack of small talk, but this was next level quietness). We ate tiramisu for dessert and that was excellent though. The place wasnât crazy expensive either, which was nice. The atmosphere was a little bit ruined by some guys who were maybe watching football or downing shots, I donât know what they were doing but it was very loud anyway.
