The owner welcomed us with a lame "joke" ("we like people of your country because you've got a lot of money"), then wanted to serve us a wine of his choice without asking us, what we wanted, so we declined (be aware that a lot of the wines on the list are very pricey). The legume soup didn't taste like much either (nothing to do with an umbrian lentil soup).

Enoteca Properzio 2 is set in a very specific context, specifically in a place dating in 1550, part of the famous palazzo dei Canonici , next to the Cathedral of Santa Maria Maggiore in Spello. Legend says that here Pinturicchio lived and worked in this e
The food is good in this place. The refreshing terrace is fine to rest. The owner however likes touching the women entering the shop. Not appropriate !

Present in major gastronomic guides, the restaurant in Cascia (Municipality of Cascia) offers a wide variety of dishes, among which stand out the fine dishes of local tradition, with strong and genuine flavors, able to give off evocative sensations that d
A very original soup with a quenelle of pecorino and lemon followed by beautiful tagliatelle with cod. Lovely local house red wine which complemented the pasta surprisingly well. Must also mention the grissini flavoured with wild fennel - never had these before and they were kind enough to pack some up for me to take home. A class act in beautiful surroundings - simple but with great style.Very kind, thanks for the magnificent compliments to our dishes, but even more for the beautiful description of the whole and for having emphasized our behavior. We are very happy to have had you as a guest and we will always be delighted to meet you again.Thank youGreetingsFm. Giustini

The Restaurant " Redibis " is born from the awareness of a unique location and the will to save it from the obvious museum logic, in order to make it host the ancient ritual of dinner instead. We are in the Roman Theatre in Bevagna, built in the first cen
Great service: informed, professional, friendly and not rushed (in spite of the fact that we were the only diners). We ordered several courses to share, which were thoughtfully divided into half portions and served consecutively. A reasonably romantic space, unexpectedly deep set (you pass through several rooms/hallways to get to the main dining room) and appropriately decorated. We shared: amberjack carpaccio (good), arancini (good), crema of peas (excellent), risotto with asparagus (excellent), spaghettone with tomato sauce and pecorino (excellent), and a very nice dessert of chestnut cream and poached pear. I tried Sangrantino for the first time and enjoyed those deep tannins. Highly recommended.

It's a new place run by young and talented guys, well decorated and cosy. The food was good and really plentiful, antipasto looked more like three course dinner. Pizza is giant, dough is thin and crispy. Nice place for dinner with a friends.

We had been referred to this restaurant, by locals living in nearby Spello, as a good place for a dinner of pasta or grilled meats. I scouted it out during the day and visually categorized it as a typical small out-in-the-country bar and restaurant. However, when I returned that evening with my wife and friends we found that a surprise transformation had taken place. Tables had been set up outside, some on a patio and the rest on the lawn intermixed with garden shrubbery. Soft lighting and a lit swimming pool and deck in the background created a beautiful ambiance. The menu did not disappoint us either, nor did the wine list. Both offered a variety of pleasing choices at very reasonable prices. The steak offerings were of Angus beef from the USA and from Latin America. The lamb and pork were excellent, too. The meals and the overall dining experience exceeded my expectations from earlier in the day. Our Italian friends were so impressed that they returned the next night with their teenaged children and brought us along, too! The second time was every bit as good as the first.

The restaurant is located in a beautiful village from where you can have a splendid view over the mountains and you can see in the horizon cities like Perugia and Torgiano. You can have different pizzas, pastas, great grilled meat or total menu with reasonable price and always ask what is kitchen's daily menu. Ask restaurant's own sommelier what wine he would suggest for you lunch or dinner. P.S They will also open their renovated small hotel with spa in the near future.Grazie

Our large party of 8 friends (4 adults, 4 teens) just loved this unassuming, yet charming restaurant. The food and wine were reasonable and tasty. The pasta dishes were exceptional: delicate, flavorful, and unusual. We visited on the first night of our vacation and we all decided it was the one restaurant we wanted to go back to for another meal. The service is a bit relaxed, as the husband/wife team is spread somewhat thin, but they are charming and helpful and will take the time to explain the dishes and preparations in English. A suggestion would be to order twice as much water at the outset (wine, too, for a larger group) so that you don't have to get their attention when the bottles run dry.

We have eaten at this recently opened Osteria/ enotecca for supper, lunch and occasional breakfast eight times in March and April. One evening meal was very good indeed as were two breakfasts. The coffee is good, but cappuccinos were not. But three other evening meals were very disappointing. Dry main courses and warmed up pasta, i.e. not freshly cooked were the main problems. The service was variable, sometimes ok, sometimes indifferent and even disdainful. Cappuccinos at most recent breakfast were served with longlife milk and stale cornetti. A great shame because when it is good it is very good. We will not go back until we hear they have got their act together.NeedDear Highbury19,thank you for sharing your feedback. We are glad that you have come to our osteria 8 times.. the problem is that we do not remember You! Are You sure you have reviewed the right place? We have this strong doubt also because your statements are not correct: we never serve warmed pasta and our cornetti with homemade jam are always fresh as well as the milk. We are very sorry because maybe you have confused our osteria with some other place, However, we invite you to come and visit us as soon as possible. Our best regards.
