Things to do in Brighton le Sands
We visited Avocado Fruit Lounge Cafe at lunchtime on a Saturday - attracted by the concept and it was well patronised. We got a seat and perused the Menu. As the name suggests, the meals are Avocado Heavy and tended toward a Breakfast style, which was fine for us. Meals were about $17a pop and the drinks $8 - so it was by no means a budget Café.We ordered Haloumi, Avocado on toasted Sourdough with Cherry Tomatoes and an identical meal with Smoked Salmon in place of the Haloumi. Beverages were a Virgin Mojito and a Passionfruit Mocktail.Service was slow. After about 15 mins, one drink arrived and the waitress asked if that was our order complete, she was a little shocked when we told her we were waiting on 2 meals and another drink (which arrived maybe 5 minutes later).Eventually, after another 25 minutes our meals arrived. Plenty of ripe Avocado and my Salmon was rich and creamy. But. Our sourdoughs were barely toasted and consequently soaked up the Avocado, making the toast limp and soft. The Haloumi suffered the same treatment - barley grilled, squeaky and unappetizing. The meal was topped with a single Cherry Tomato artfully carved into a crown. When the menu has Tomatoes...you expect more than one - regardless of how artfully carved the solitary presentation appears. Both of the drinks, however, were superb. But unfortunately not so superb as to take the sting out of the near $50 bill....Avocado Fruit Lounge Café suffers a significant gulf between Concept and Execution, which is a shame because If this concept was executed well, this place would be very very good. As it stands however, its not really close to what it aspires to....
There is nothing better than sitting outside watching the beach in the distance and the zooming cars flying past your nose. Apart from that the most obvious distraction is the beautifully presented and yummy foods. Dont forget the coffee that was the best I had in the area

This is a charcoal chook/Lebanese fast food joint and restaurant and it does it very well. Chickens are butterflied and cooked over hot coals and are delicious. A good choice of salads, Greek, fatoush, taboulie etc they also do grilled skewers of meat and kebbeh! Everything is of excellent quality certainly more restaurant than fast food. Service is great, the venue is excellent clean and inviting. I have no hesitation recommending it.

Meals were nice, However they were too large. For meals primarily pasta or rice based, and when every forkfull is the same it would be better to offers small meals so one can have the option of ordering a side salad for some refreshment of the palate. Service was very good. It was a pleasant evening. The owner came out afterwards and was a bit bothersome about online reviews.

Me and a friend were recently cancelled on a flight to Melbourne and our layover in Sydney turned into two nights. Staying at Brighton beach we chose a random restaurant and it was an excellent choice !The staff were great, specific shout out to the manager who was charming and funny. Food was absolutely delicious. Their euro chips were fantastic with their special sauce and herbs. We then shared the chilli prawn linguini and the burnt butter pumpkin gnocchi, both of which were fantastic so if you go order them. Their bottle of Shiraz was excellent as was the baileys hot chocolate (called teddy bear on the menu). We were very happy here and spent over three hours talking and eating I recommend 100%

Great restaurant. The food was incredible. 9 in our party and everyone loved their meal from entrée to desert. Loved the finishing touch of complimentary chocolate coated strawberries. Service was great, staff friendly and professional. Atmosphere and surroundings very relaxing. Great looking out over the bay to lights of distant foreshore. All the ladies were presented with a single red rose. Definitely go back.

My wife and I shared the octopus, calamari and Halloumi dishes. The meal was well presented, good size serves and really tasty. Pricing was reasonable. Staff were friendly and the view was great. My only constructive feedback was the level of noice at lunchtime. But if the food, service and pricing is good, you have to expect a lot of customers!

My wife & two friends ate here on Saturday night. Staff are great and very obliging. This this restaurant has a great atmosphere but unfortunately thatâs where it stopsThe Entrees were served fairly quickly and were very enjoyable. The main meals took more than an hour to be served and when served the souvlaki was burnt & the pork was cold. When we complain to the waiter about the condition of the food the waiter went to the kitchen and return shortly with four lamb cutlets which were burnt on the outside and still raw on the inside. I doubt for the price that we paid which was fairly expensive that I would return to the place again.

The first time I was taken here was during the day. It was lovely, staff were friendly, the main road wasn't too busy and the food was amazing. We recommended this to my other family who decided to have their birthdays there. Each time was great, other than the noisy main road at night. The last time we went wasn't as good as usual. I think she was new but she charged us for table water which in Australia is mandatory if it is a licensed venue. We asked to speak to other staff members and were denied. Eventually she returned and apologised as she got it wrong. She wasn't very nice about it though. My sister and I got gelato which was delicious as usual. My parents were offered free dessert and politely declined the offer. The waitress later brought out dessert anyway. The food was still good and I do recommend it. If you want it quieter, I suggest you go at lunch.

Hubby and I went here for dinner on Saturday night, we didn't have a table booked but the maitre d' enticed us in out of the cold and got us a table straight away, although the restaurant was almost full. We had salt & pepper calamari for an entree and garlic prawns for a main, a wine and beer. Service was excellent, the food was great and the price was exceptional. Our 18 year old son had recommended Neptunes and we were impressed and will definitely be back. :)
