This lovey family resturaunt is just around the corner. Food is always good. There is a very wide range of food to choose from. Even the vegans, glutin intolerant will find something to eat. It's very child friendly. Large play area. Lots of people have their birthdays and so on there. You would need to book for a large crowd, but if you just walk in, there is a slight waiting period.

Had lunch at the Ocean Basket in Sunward Park. Sashimi for starters and the Hake and calamari combo for main. R 244.00 Although the food is good, not so affordable as it used to be. Service poor, waitress seemed untrained.Breakfast was good but toast was burnt and poached eggs were still runny and not done to medium as ordered. Liked the layout of the restaurant.

I love the dispensers that dispense wine and other drinks. We all ordered gin and tonics and got them in a dispenser with all the garnish, though I would have preferred my own double with sugar free tonic!We all ordered half portions, because the portions were just too big. Less is more sometimes. We were still charged full price for the dishes. The room where we were eating was very dingy and quite depressingI liked the cheese being grated on our pasta at the table, though question if it was real parmesan, as the texture and flavour were not of parmesan as I know it.Good evening, thank you for your detailed review. The Gin tower's are only made on order by the customer, which choose their favourite Gin and their tonic preference,was the tower perhaps ordered by another guest at the table, as we would have served all the Gin's individually as per order with a sugar free tonic.Regarding the charge of full portions, i would like to look in to this, please would you be so kind to email me that bill,as only the management can place the order and over ride the system to order half portions. Very nice Baza and rise, good quality and value for money. Waiters service very good and can not complain The only thing that is missing is the personal touch that used to be their. The old owners brought an amazing feeling and touch as they were always checking and coming for a quick chat and check if all ok. We went there after a show. The restaurant was quiet at that stage, but soon fill up. We've ordered the platter for two and the food was tasty and we did not wait a long time for our food. Our waitress, Nwabisa, did a great job and we had a good time at this Ocean Basket.
