Find out what Mediterranean restaurants to try in Azores. The nine islands that make up the Azores are in fact the peaks of some of the world's tallest mountains, reaching from deep beneath the Atlantic. The once-uninhabited, volcanic archipelago now hosts thousands of tourists every year who flock to the islands for sun, sand and verdant mountain scenery. From the beaches of Praia da Vitoria to the bustling marina of Horta, to the bubbling volcanic ground "ovens" of Furnas, these islands offer unparalleled--and unusual--adventures to discover.

We chose Big21 based on Reviews. We were not Disappointed!! All of the food is expertly prepared and delicious. The Tuna was as others described, Amazing. The servers treat you like friends of the family. Our first visit (We visited twice) one person in our party chose steak, the server told him that it wasn't a good choice that night. But on our second visit we inquired, and we were assured that it would be good that night. And it was. Prices are very reasonable, and you won't leave hungry. I highly recommend Big21 and suggest that reservations. They always seem busy and full.

We are a small Restaurant with focus on Products Seasonal, Regional and Fresh. /// Somos um pequeno Restaurante com foco nos Produtos da Ãpoca, Regionais e Frescos.
We had a very lovely dinner at Tasquinha Vieira, where we had made a 9 PM reservation a few days earlier. This is a small upscale restaurant where reservations are essential. We shared the very tasty beef carpaccio as a starter. My husband had the tuna manicotti and I had the parrot fish which came with some very good veg. Dessert was a delicious panna cotta, with some espresso poured over it and a crisp crumble to add. With a couple of glasses of white wine and some mineral water, the bill came to 64 euros. Very fair for the quality of the food and excellent service.

The food was a bit hit-miss for us, but I'm chalking that up to just a difference in preference. Service was TOP NOTCH and we really felt taken care of the entire evening. My family and I came in around 7pm without a reservation, but they seated us in no time. Our waiter was phenomenal and was really a highlight of the visit. We had the grilled limpets, grilled whole squid, and the blood sausage/grilled pineapple. The blood sausage was ... not our favorite. It was really, really crispy on the outside and it just wasn't our thing. The squid, however, was amazing. The limpets were also very good - but my mom and sister liked the one from A Tasca better. We finished the meal with a pineapple mousse, which was recommended by our waiter. I loved it.

This is a special place, not your usual mundane restaurant. The theme is cheese, cured meats, canned fish and wine. Bruno is passionate about them all and it shows. As it was our first night in Ponta Delgada, we booked well in advance and were glad we did. Tables are very limited and all walk-ins were turned away. A must if you enjoy Portuguese foods and drink.

This was my favourite restaurant from our stay in Pico. The restaurant is away from the town but only a short walk away. The views from the restaurant is beautiful, we were there during sunset and Pico went pink! Beautiful!Food was great. We shared starters, shrimp cocktail, cheese & bread. All delicious. Favourite was the cheese. I had the lasange - it wasn't overly flavoured it was just right! Desserts also nice too! We had both had before dinner cocktail, I had an aperol and my husband had camparri. We also had a lovely bottle of red and lemonchello shots to finish!Waitress was brilliant, friendly, kind & helpful! If I had stayed in Pico longer I would have returned.

Our hotel recommendations here bang on! This restaurant exceeded our expectations. We had the best octopus dishes ever. The fish was tender and well prepared. The seafood soup was excellent and the shrimp was so flavourful. Our server was very attentive and the view of the ocean from the balcony was beautiful. We went again the next day and had the same wonderful experience. What a pleasure to read your review @Adkfamily! It represents our everyday work to offer a great experience to our customers. We hope we can have your visit again. Best regards

We had several times dinner in this fancy restaurant. The menu card is an iPad,You can choose yourself the language. Every evening there are different choices for fish and shellfish, meat (pork, lamb, beef, goat and even rabbit) and even a good choice in vegetarian dishes. You make your choices and this is directly send to the kitchen. Service was amicable and quick but with poor English knowledge. All the dishes we tried were at least as good as expected, the rabbit is a real recommendation.
