Were in Malcesine for a week and found this place towards the end of the week but still managed two visits. The food on both occasions was delicious with the grilled sea bass and seafood risotto being outstanding. Highly recommended.....great value for money

This was our first visit to the beautiful town of Malcesine on Lake Garda, so we looked up restaurants on Tripadvisor and the reviews for Vidoc stood out.It was difficult to find out why.Friendly knowledgeable staff made choosing our courses very easy, then when the food arrived it surpassed our expectations. First we had one of the delicious sharing platters with a carafe of Prosecco, followed by one of the nicest steaks weâve ever had anywhere. It was the size of a T bone and only cost â¬20.When I saw ice cream with balsamic vinegar on the dessert menu, I just had to try it and it was a true delight. One of the other surprises which delighted me was the fact that they sell Amarone by the glass! If youâre visiting Malcesine then a visit to Vidoc is a must if you enjoy and appreciate the fact that their produce is sourced locally and cooked with love.Thank you, we will return.

The meal was disappointing. All courses featured local lake fish (char, pike, perch) which IMO are simply not species that have a pleasant texture or flavor. This is a 3 hour price fixed service at EUR 60 per person one of the most costly meals we had on our trip and far from the most enjoyable. I was stunned to learn that even the 2 children in our group, who refused to eat the fish, and had a hamburger and pasta instead, were charged full price. Our waiter was fine and the wines offered were OK. The environment was very nice but parking was difficult. I liked the dessert but even the complimentary Limoncello could not erase the taste of perch and pike lasagna. If we love lake fish, don't mind poor value, and have 3 hours to dine you might like Osteria al Pescatore.

The views are not spectacular, but the service was very friendly and genuine despite the rush. We ate there twice. Pizzas were heavenly! And wines and deserts (I took creme brulee and tiramisu) and pasta are fine too. Grazie! âº

Bistrot directly on the lake with indoor lounge and panoramic terrace. Fanciful dishes of the Italian cuisine, but also of the local tradition and vegan. Open from 12.30 to 22.00. Booking is recommended.
The ambiance of having the water around you, the mountains in front and behind and soft music makes for a perfect dining experience. Then the food: a very fresh mixed salad, a generous portion of Caprese and the largest Bronzino fish that we have ever shared. The fish was perfectly seasoned and cooked and was accompanied roasted potatoes and sautéed mixed vegetables. Superb! A nice bottle of Vermentino accompanied this meal. We will be back for sure!Dear LuBabe, thank you so much, we always appreciate good feedback like yours. Our branzino is a good choice, we cook it in salt crust with hay to have a particular taste! The rest (panorama, lake, mountains...) is a gift of the nature, we are lucky to be here and share it with all our guests!See you soon in our restaurant!!!

We enjoyed a delicious dinner at this bustling restaurant. We were brought out a platter of the catches of the day and chose a scorpion fish, which was perfectly prepared. The truffle pasta was fresh and very good. We had a reservation but managed to arrive on time even after having challenges with Google maps. We would've given an excellent rating but it took quite a long time for someone to get to our table and there was a little confusion of who our server was assigned us.

Had dinner here on our last night of our holiday. We have been to the Caprice several times when visiting Assenza Di Benzene and it never fails to please. The pizza is gorgeous and the wine too! Service is friendly and the atmosphere relaxed. Certainly recommend.

Passed on cycle out & looked good & prices reasonable. Just a pizza each (expecting a 6") as â¬7.50 & some chips please. Well eyes popped out head at this delicious enormous pizza that was presented to us. Great coffee bargain â¬1.50 too. Other diners food looked absolutely delicious & plentiful. Recommend if you in vicinity.

Very pleasant and good restaurant. We had a beef tartar with Laphroig Whiskey flavour for starter which was new to me. For the main dish we had tagliata with strawberries which was also totally new taste for us. Tagliata was a bit to rare for me and a bit to cold but in general very good cuisine. A bit strange is the fact that you do not get any side dish next to tagliata and We were not used to be served that way, but of course you can order it on your own...

Thank you to everyone at La Voglia restaurant (especially Christian) for making our wedding reception completely perfect. From the moment we arrived the service and food was second to none. Every guest commented on the amazing food and location - nothing was ever too much trouble and you were happy to change things last minute if needs be. We canât wait to return in years to come for our anniversary meals!
