Located in a Cultural Center in the center of town, Cafe Cafe has pleasant surroundings. It offers good food and OK service for relatively cheap prices. It's rarely full (except during shows), so its a great option for lunch or outdoor breakfast next to the soothing fountain. Recommended:)

I ate in this restaurant with two other friends - one Italian and one Israeli (I am American)-on April 2, 2018 on a Sunday evening at 8 PM. We chose this restaurant because we wanted to fish and it was one of the few on the Ashkelon boardwalk that was Kosher for Passover. One person in the party also had eaten there before and recommended it. When we arrived the restaurant was fairly crowded - there were some empty tables - and noisy, especially since the stereo speakers were blaring out some kind of disco music. We sat down at a dirty table that a waiter eventually cleaned off. He also took our orders and acquiesced to my request to lower the music. But as we waited we noticed that other patrons who arrived after us were being served their food, while we were not. At this point we complained and a different young man who spoke no English came to take our orders. As he did, he visibly put his fingers in his nose on at least two different occasions. After the first occasion, I reproached him. But he once again picked nose. He supposedly left with our orders. But after another 5 minutes a young woman came to our table to present us with a completely different menu with slightly higher prices, telling us that because of Passover everything cost more. Once again we gave her our orders. After that our fish finally arrived - it was very good and fresh, although at about $29 a plate with that included nothing else except some kosher for Passover bread and a few tiny plates of Israel salad it certainly wasn't cheap. There was no table cloth or even paper table mat.One more matter: at the sink to wash your hands the air dryer was not working and paper towels were not provided. When I complained that eventually put out toilet paper.
Good salad and entrees but overpriced for bowls of pasta. It is a kosher dairy restaurant - it was pretty crowded and not really that clean looking - the wait staff didn't seem to know that much about the food - it was good because we were hungry - but it wasn't anything to write home about - There are so many other restaurants that are mediocre - so I think I would try others before I came back here.

Recently open one of the few Non Kosher establishments in Ashkelon. Large shaded outside seating area with great view on the Marina itself. Good food friendly efficient service, reasonable prices (taking into consideration that the prices in Israel are very high in comparison to USA and most European countries). I have ate there three times since the opening already and will definitely return for more.
