After the head of kitchen greeted us with a handshake he then washed his hands before proceeding. Only a small thing I know, but it says a lot about this spotless, reasonably priced, establishment which we have visited several times. The splendid choice of fresh fish and seafood is displayed in front of the open kitchen where, if you wish, you can observe the cooks do a superb job of producing simple but memorable meals of the highest quality, with service to match. No ocean views but you will be too busy enjoying the food to notice. This truly authentic fish restaurant has got to be the best in the Canaries. The local Frontos wine complements the food perfectly.

We have been to this Restaurant before for Tapas it was so good we thought we would call again, and we was not disappointed, we sat outside with a good view of the Atlantic Ocean and ordered our Tapas, it's all ways good to have a walk into the Restaurant and see what's on show, we picked out our five Tapas dishes, you have choice of small, medium or large dishes, our service was excellent and the food well cooked, we had two beers, glass of wine and two coffee, the bill came to 28.00 euros, very good value.

This is a hidden gem. Get off the motorway away from the bustling towns and drive down these small windy roads. You will not be disappointed. Here in this small town are a handful of bar/restaurants and this one is delightful. Sitting in the sun on a very blustery day, out of the wind and just chilling. Husband and wife team serving good food with lovely smiles and nothing too much trouble. Coffee excellent and at â¬5.20 for 4 cups. Follow this with a walk around this small town and say hello to the donkey.

Tucked away in a courtyard you will find this little gem of a restaurant. Dishes are thoughtfully selected and prepared to perfection. I never got the chance to try the drunken dessert which seems to be whisky with ice-cream. Maybe next time?

All the restaurants in this little village of Tajao seem to be fish restaurants. I suppose thatâs not surprising really, as we are surrounded by the great Atlantic Ocean. You are whisked into the kitchen to inspect the fridge and make your selection, with absolutely no idea of what it might cost. Actually my son and I were a little disconcerted to see all those eyes looking at us, and opted to eat shrimps, plus one portion of mussels to share, plus a huge mixed salad, warm bread and yummy mojo. The bill was a very acceptable â¬31 for the lot, which we felt was fantastic value, and nicely and cheerfully served. If here longer, we would go again. There was one meat choice, which was unspecified, simply called crane fiesta. We decided not to have it!

Closed For Holidays From Saturday 28TH Of April To Monday 4TH Of June. Open Again Tuesday 5TH Of June.
From the outside, it looks quite dull, but when you come inside, you will expire the warmest atmosphere and an exceptional waiter who very gently and qualified guided us through our selection of food and wine. We followed his suggestions and had some really very good food, excellent prepared and seasoned.Whole wine bottles came on the table and we freely could take what we want - and when we paid, the waiter just looked at the bottles and estimated how much we have taken - and we paid just that.So we can fully recommend this restaurant - mainly for the food, but absolutely also for the atmosphere and the waiter!

We went there in the middle of the week to have lunch because we have heared a lot of good recommendations. They serve fresh fish and seafood you chose from the fridge. It was an amazing experience. I recommend to make a reservation because when we were there (around 14 oâclock) it was completely crowded and we had to wait for the table for cca 20 min.

Restaurant in the fishing village of San Miguel de Tajao. No menu (!), you just order from the fresh catch that is laid out in the display... so doubt they will have a website.
El Rocás, in San Miguel de Tajao is one of those homey, simple places I love.Busy with families and friends the seafood cannot get any fresher or tastier! Walk-in, ask for a table and belly up to the seafood ice-table where the fresh catch of the day is displayed. Pick your fish, your shrimp, your octopus, your squid, shelfish...then tell them how you want it cooked.Have the house salad, it's fantastic, with fresh tuna.El Rocás is a must if you like good seafood, cooked your way in a friendly place. Walk the beach and the fisherman's wharf after lunch, it's beautiful.

Fresh fish and live seafood , paella, tapas
We went there quite early, only one staff speaking English but they all were very friendly and helpful. Just pick what you want at the counter then they'll cook it for you. Had a bery satisfiying meal coz Im a seafood lover. Even my husband who is not usually a big fan of seafood enjoyed himself very much. Price is reasonable as well. We ordered 1 big sole, another smaller fish, 1 oyster, 1/3 squid, 2 big prawn(this is the most expensive but the best), 2" fish roe, grilled peppers, 1 potatoes, 4scallops and a handfull of local clams, 1 kids chicken nugget with chips and a bottle of wine total was â¬80 very reasonable. Definitely recommended. Simple but good
