A family run restaurant serving excellent local dishes accompanied by wonderful local wines or ouzo/tsipouro. The service is excellent but can get a bit hectic at peak dinner hours. Do visit the interior of the restaurant which is filled with old Greek film posters, soup cans, wine and beer bottles dating back 50 - 60 years, pots and pans, furniture some of which are more than 100 years old.

Five of us unanimously chose this restaurant for a special meal out together and we were not disappointed, knowing that a master chef was in attendance.Lovely evening views across Batsi harbour whilst eating a huge, perfectly cooked steak served with chips, salad and peppercorn sauce. (Nb this is listed as âvealâ but is beef for sure)Four of us had the steak, the other a chicken dish cooked on a skewer served with salad. We are all healthy eaters and all struggled to finish because of the very generous portions, we could not leave a single delicious mouthful and then heroically still managed the wonderful banoffee pie provided on the house.Bottled cold Methos is served here in frosted glasses and the house red is quite acceptable.Service is delightfully relaxed and there is never a rush to move you on at the end of your meal.Slightly more expensive than several of the neighbouring restaurants, but absolutely worth every penny.

From the perspective of a vegetarian, there wasnât much going on, so we ended up going for something called âpatatinas with yoghurt sauceâ or something similar and âsmoked aubergine with local cheeseâ. The latter consisted of a small disc of aubergine mash with a tail of grilled cheese and a swish of pepper sauce. It was ok. The former turned out to be homemade crisps (British) or chips (America) with a small pot of yoghurt. It was all a bit greasy and not particularly what we wanted. This rather unassuming quantity of food, washed down with two beers, came to 17 euros, which I felt was a little too much.

I went here with my family and my PREGNANT WIFE , they took our order we ordered a pizza for the table and 3 burgers which are âthe best burgers on the islandâ and my wife ordered a Carbonara pasta. The waitress took our order and disappeared. 1 by 1 the burgers came out and they tasted a little funky , as you bite into it the chopped meat falls apart , very bad quality meat , far from being the best burgers. I wouldnât give that to a dog. They completely forgot to put in my pregnant wifeâs pasta then I asked another waitress because ours was gone from the moment she took the order to check if the pasta was coming. She said they forgot it and 7 minutes it will be ready , 15 minutes later we are all annoyed and asked for the check , we paid and got up to leave. They brought the pasta as we got up to leave ... like seriously??? TERRIBLE SERVICE. TERRIBLE FOOD. I vacation on Andros every summer as we have a house there. First and Last time at this pizza bar. Absolutely DISGUSTING.Dear unsatisfied customer. Our sincere apologies for not being able to serve you or your wife correctly. This I can assure you is never our intent as we aim to please at the highest level and our extremely great full for all our clients and their comments good or bad. But your comments are of hate and anger and intend to damage an honest business, hard working people and staff. Our food quality and efforts to please are of the highest level and quality with fresh Andros meat being brought to us daily from Vitaliotis. Since your here every year you can check on that. The pasta is fresh. Yes fresh hand made pasta. Again daily. Our staff does everything and anything they can to please our customers and we personally work and stress over our business 20 hours a day to assure quality product and service. So with that all said and with all truth and sincerity I must say that the only thing DISGUSTING ON ANDROS IS YOU. We do feel for your wife of course but not because of our service. Itâs simply caprice.

Typical Greek restaurant with good food, but generally not standing out from the other ones.Service is a bit hurried, due to the huge number of table to serve.I would not plan a trip to Batsì just to dine here.

We had an excellent dinner even if we feared it was too late to find a table and any food left given the number of cars parked outside. It turned out that they had a pleasant table away from the screaming children and despite the flood of people all tge staff was attentive and smiling. The goat wrapped in oily paper was excellent as were the vegetables that we ordered. They also bring you a small bottle of rakia with your water. The bill is cheap and again the staff was very kind and welcoming.
