One of the best restaurants in Bozen. Very tastful dishes and excellent wines. Very attentive and friendly staff. You can sit outside, but you have to make reservations for it. One thing that is really disturbing to me is the ugly interior 'design'... nothing fits together.. and not in the nice way. They really should restyle this place. The venue itself is fantastic, but the interior is tasteless and in such contrast with their modern take on their delicious food.

We discovered this place on a small wine and culture trip. One of the members of our group comes here for years. And we discovered the execptionnal welcome of this very typical place of Alta Adige. We are in Italy and everybody speaks German. The quelity of the rooms and of the food is excellent . It is the place where you want to go to have an exceptional "souvenir".far from nowhere and in the center of everything. Stay if you can THree or four days it is even better.

We were looking for a place to enjoy dinner after a congress in Bolzano e we ended up with1 this place. From outside it looks like a small castle on the top of the hill. The garden outside before getting into are impressive and very well kept. Inside the atmosphere is magic. During both the first and second evening a blond waitress from Slovakia was so nice with us and she really took care of us, doing the maximum she could do for us and for our welfare and well staying. We really loved this place and we will come back again for sure. Price are competitive, considering the complicated preparations required for the dishes. Also the owner, a young guy, was paying attention to us and he always was checking if everything was going well. It's definitely on of the best restaurant we have never been !Dear Angela C,thank you so much for your nice review. It's been a pleasure to have you twice a week here as our guest and that you enjoyed the time.We hope to see you soon again.Meanwhile we send our best regardsHaselburg Team

Strangely enough: a seafood restaurant in the middle of the Alps. But really not bad!

S'passler is not the right word for this place: it is just a good restaurant with excellent food. Nothing funny about that.Impeccable service, regional wines, nice choice of dishes, also for vegetarians. We had a wonderful evening outside.Danke vielmals!Lg Restaurant SâPassler

charcoal grill Become a spectator, the show kitchen is the stage and our chefs are in the limelight. Tatsty Florentine T-Bone or Dry Aged Tomahawk steaks are the main characters. The right spice mixture makes the consumption perfect. Enjoy exciting antipa

âI Love This restaurant â family run place with nice folks, this exciting venue offers a real down-home made experience. Everything here is handmade same day, the quality is fabulous that means a lot to me. The chef owner Anna work alone, very hard, producing intelligent, delicate food in courses that come at you in lovely waves The service very courteous and extremely knowledgeable Owner Luis and daughter make your experience just excellent I'm a wine lover they have a fantastic selection of wines from the region südtirol as well international outwards. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone to happen to to be here on vacation southtyrol aka südtirol. Jus like me from Orlando Florida Lily

We have been going to Pilhof for more than 10 years and it has had its ups and downs but recently more downs than ups, at least in our experience. Today was another down: we went for lunch and ordered a bruschetta starter to share and then a salad and a soup. And water. That was it, nothing complicated as we were pressed for time. The bruschetta came and was very tasty, but for â¬9, perhaps rather overpriced. Then we waited for our food - a salad and a soup, which should both have turned up quite quickly, especially as the place was quite quiet. After 25 minutes, we asked one of the waitresses where they were, as our original guy had disappeared. She went off to find out, and came back to say they would be with us in 2 minutes and a couple of minutes later, the food turned up without much of an apology.Ok, we had to wait. But we were pushed for time and quite frankly a salad and a soup are not complicated things to produce. The basic problem was our original waiter, who wasn't bothered about providing us with proper service and disappeared into another part of the restaurant, so he didn't realise there had been a mix-up in the kitchen (although as the place was so quiet, and as the kitchen's job is to produce food to order, and as we had already received our starter, how come it was so easy to mess up our order of salad and soup??).If a restaurant wants to keep regular customers who are no longer overwhelmed by the interior decor and presentation, as many reviewers here obviously are - for good reason but we've seen it all before - then they need to work on the quality of the food and the service. The food was good, but we paid â¬29 for a small bruschetta starter to share, a potato soup, a small salad and a bottle of still water. As the food was good, but not excellent, that price must also be justified by excellent service. And excellent service it wasn't!It's a shame, as Pillhof used to be much better. In the end Pillhof seems to aspire to a level which it can't reach due to the inconsistent quality of the food and the consistently indifferent service. The only high level they do manage to reach quite easily is the price... And if you want to pay prices like that, there are better quality places to visit in and around Bozen.

We had a delightful dinner here and highly recommend the Chef's pizza with spinach, ricotta and prosciutto. We had a very nice waitress that could speak English well and was happy to provide guidance. For desert the ricotta dumplings stuffed with apricots and served with homemade vanilla ice cream were both unusual and delicious. The portions are generous so feel free to share your dishes. Reservations are a good idea for popular times, especially in the evening as it gets cooler and more guests want to sit inside. There is ample free parking on site.

The menu was not extensive. All four meals were okay but not as good as we expected. Would suggest a short drive to another.
