We were looking for a restaurant that was open on a monday for lunch (90% of shops and restaurants were closed). A shopkeeper recommended La Pousada and it was a wonderful surprise. Great food, extremely nice waiter, and you dine next to 400 year old wine barrels. Worth it! 80 euros for 4 people with starter / dessert / coffee.

We ate in the hotel restaurant both nights. The food was delicious - from the amuse bouche to begin right through all three courses of the set menu. We ate outside in the courtyard both nights which was beautifully and atmospherically lit. We enjoyed the food so much that on the second night I had what my partner had and vice versa! Mixed croquettes; curried vegetable cannelloni; pork in wine sauce; and beef escalope. For the desserts the maitre d' allowed me to choose an orange sorbet off menu which was very impressive!

Rather than eating at the parador itself we walked across the street to a very small local restaurant. We both had seafood dinners which were excellent. My starter was the soup of the day (yum!) and my wife had the mixed salad (huge and very good). The food was local cuisine and was superb, but the best part was the waitress/owner who is absolutely charming! She runs a very warm and tasty restaurant! And the price was incredibly low (two dinners with wine and bottled water for under 30 Euros). Obviously we left her a big tip!!

Their menu is available in English although we preferred to try to sort out the menu on our own. What a fun time! The glass of wine we had before the restaurant opened at 8:30, was on our bill at the end of the meal and they were only 1Euro each. They have an appetizer plate that features regional dishes from La Mancha. Do this appetizer!! The strange buds that are fixed together with a stick are "eggplants". They are tiny eggplants. They don't look like it, nor taste like it, but I assure you they are. You have to check this out!! The deserts are awesome. We had eaten a late lunch so we could not even split an main course so we had the appetizer plate and desert with a bottle of Cava. The deserts are made fresh to order. You will not be disappointed here!

Bar Restaurante Casa Toni, a typical manchego corner in Plaza Mayor de Almagro, near the Corral of Comedies, where you can sample a wide "cuisine" and a very special "tapas". Summer terrace, coffee bar and sky lounge. Welcome.
Have not tried their food. This bar / restaurant is located at the Town Hall. Took a drink and studied the people sauntered pastDear Sir, we can not understand their non-constructive opinion. Casa Toñi Almagro it´s a restaurant. You just took a drink. We invite you to try our traditional food and take conclusions. Our menu is translated into several languages ââto provide better service to our customers. We hope to see you again.Kindest regards. We arrived at 9:30 to find the restaurant empty, lights off and soaless. The waitress and owner gave the impression that we had disturbed their quiet evening. Service was sultry. Wine list good, but limited if you want white or rosada. Food was really poor and didn't reflect the description in the menu (Spanish and English). We were very disappointed as the rating and description of this restaurant bore no relation to reality. I would never would recommend this restaurant to anyone. What a shame. We regret that your experience was not good. We have been working with the best ingredients for several years, as many good reviews certify. We will be happy to see you again here, so that you can enjoy our culinary specialties. Thanks for your opinion, it helps us to improve.

A small bar that you might walk past without thinking. However, the treatment and the quality are more akin to Basque cuisine. There is a small but gourmet selection of beers and some delicious tapas.

This restaurant is not located at main square, but bit off (5min) from Plaza Mayor. Interior also is very plain, but food is good. Inside there is less than 30 seats.Portions were big, we took the half portions, as we wanted have several tapas, ordered 4, but 3 was enough. We had fried cheese, which was excellent. Fried fish was good, but sauce was excellent pair for it. Pork was piece of an art towards Michelin, unfortunately the cheese (Stilton?) in the portion was not for my taste.Menu was available in English, staff spoke enough English that we agreed on everything.
