O Farnel is a nice restaurant with modern fashionable interior. Price value is absolutely acceptable. Service could be a little bit more friendly and welcoming though nothing wrong happen. To give you some price ideas: shrimps with garlic 16 EUR (average portion), risotto 10.50 EUR, soup of the day 2.90 EUR, house wine 3.50 EUR.In general I can recommend this restaurant without any doubts.

This restaurant is located in Alcochete but in a small Alley so it might be difficult to find, however, at arrival we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful open space . High wooden ceilings and a beautiful open spaceThe staff was very friendly and since we were new customers the owner came to greet us and advised us on what the specials for that day wereThe menu is quite different from the restaurants around and it can be seen as a great alternative in this little village. The best was still to come. The food was simply delicious and beautifully presented as it can be seen on these photos.I have nothing bad to point out and I would definitely recommend it

The place is nice, well decorated and the service is good. The seafood is fresh (and you get to chose exactly what you want) and well done. The price is a bit high considering the quality of other restaurants around it.

Petiscos do António (Stands for Antonio's delicacies) is a little restaurant with very tasty Portuguese inspiration food. Dishes with seafood and fish should be your main choice here, try the "Arroz de Peixe" (Fish rice) or the Massa à Antonio (noodles with shrimp, brocoli and carrots). The place is small, so try to get there early or take a reservation by phone. As for desert, try the "bolo de bolacha" (cream cake with cookies) it's fabolous!!!Value is great as most dishes serves 2.

Nice place to lunch or dinner, with a new look but similar quality. I had lunch for two, a delicious fresh fish with baked potatoes and a nice salad. A good suggestion to marry with this dish, a house white wine. We finished with an home made confectionery. The invoice was as expected not over high. Good suggestion for a calm lunch with family or friends.

This small family-owned restaurant is worth going out of your way for. Father does the grilling,, mom and helper work the kitchen and daughter and husband wait on tables. If it is a weekend or holiday, be sure to make a reservation or you will have a long wait. A friend and I had the grilled grouper and it was delicious. It came with a generous green salad and boiled potatoes. In addition, there are starters on the table and you pay for what you eat. Crusty home-made bread is an added plus.I would eat here again if given the opportunity.

If all restaurants cared for the environment in the way O Puro does the world would be a better place to live!Everything is fresh and locally sourced according to season. The flavours are superb and dishes beautifully presented. We did not wait long between courses and the host was very attentive and informative. If you are visiting Portugal this place is a must. I would describe it as having Zizzi prices but with Michelin star restaurant quality! I loved every mouthful and would definitly return.Thank you very much, ShellBerry2013.Your words WOWed our team, in a positive way. Is reviews like your the motivate us to work hard every day and to achieve new goals.we are very glad to know that you had an pleasant experience here with us.The environment and the staff appreciate it.Hopefully we'll have the pleasure to host you again.Thanks.

Visited for lunch... fried rabbit rice with chips just sumptuous and kids had beef steak (very tender) with chips, egg and rice. Followed by chocolate mousse and 'doce de casa' (typical creamy dessert with custard and biscuit - divine). Washed down with jug of wonderful sangria and ice teas for kids, with obligatory espresso coffees to finish!! Wonderful meal by the river on edge of town with attentive, warm and helpful service... definitely going again.

There are many restaurants in Alcochete and many years ago on our first visit during the week long festival of the bulls decided to experiment and ask a cross section of locals which was the best restaurant in town.We talked to a group of old men, fishermen, housewives,a garage mechanic, even in the post office(had to buy a stamp)RESULT....more than half recommended the Green Beret ......that was good enough for us.They have a blackboard with recommended dishes, always 10 or more ,all the usual favorites and some seasonal ones.If you are wanting to try a traditional dish then in this region I recommend here.At one time the entrance was through the bar area but such was the demand for tables in the restaurant they used the bar area as an overspill.Keep up the good work! Don't change anything, especially the cook/cooks!
