Once again outstanding experience. Vasco's did not disappoint us. I had fish (a silver-side something fish) and after spending a few years in Mozambique with the great variety of fresh fish and great restaurants, I was blown away with how fresh, tasty, moist, beautifully cooked and presented on a bed of vegetables mixed with baby potatoes done in the oven.....................wow so good. My partner had duck (we had this before) and it was just as amazing. I don't often go out of my way to promote restaurants but Vasco's gets 10 out of 10.

We usually try to eat local food while traveling, but we decided to go to Pigalle as it was closer to the airport and we had to catch a 1 AM flight. It was our best meal in South Africa. We had the Portuguese caldo verde, the prawns aguilho and the cod fish. Everything was delicious.

My wife and I enjoyed a meal at this new restuarant in the Lemon Tree Shopping Centre, Alberton. A fish restuarant with a wide variety of fish served in pans with a choice of rice or french fries. Service was fast and eficient. Good variety alcholic beverages and soft drinks. Owner and managers were visible at all times. Popped in for a Saturday morning breakfast buffet. The food was of a poor quality and was cold and served on cold plates. Coffee or juice not included and the tip was automatically added to the bill. For R100 a head I was certainly expecting better.

Walked into Piatto on a Saturday night at 8 after my favorite restaurant could not accomodate us. This shop were empty. We had good service, but the food was not up to par. My husband had Chicken that was soooo dry and my filled steak had no taste to it at all. The kids had pizza but did not eat all of it. Looks like this restaurant only have a busy time during the daytime.

Run by the Da Cunha Family.
Fun ambiance and service superb. That doesnât make up for fact fish was rubbery and not properly cooked. Seasoning was uneventful. Hoped for more peri peri taste although they had sauce in table. Not the same as grilled with sauce. Liver starter excellent. Also excellent security getting in and out from street. Sketchy neighborhood way off the grid. Take taxi not safe.

Adega Restaurants are upmarket Portuguese restaurants that cater for a variety of tastes and styles. The restaurants offer a warm unpretentious ambience allowing the diner to feast in true Portuguese style. We are located conveniently in shopping centres
The quality of South African food generally borders on legendary, and my own experiences (and waistline) have been testament to that in the past. Perhaps my expectations of Adega were therefore high, but by any standards our recent meal was a huge disappointment. The prawns were okay but nothing special, the steak was tough and tasteless, and the ribs were undercooked and far from tender. Service was reasonable. All in all, a sub-standard and utterly forgettable meal - such a shame, given the reviews and recommendations. Maybe we were unlucky and the chef was having a bad day.

Spent an enjoyable Sunday morning after Church having breakfast. For R35 you can have two eggs (made to order - I had scrambled & my wife fried), two rashers of crispy bacon, french fries, fried tomato, toast with preserves and filter coffee. Real value for money. Service was fast and managers visibly in attendance. Atmosphere in restuarant peaceful.I understand that the restuarant has a good reputation for sea food and steaks are great. I will test this on my next visit

Il Forno's is always a sure bet, amazing food at amazing prices. They are also wheelchair accessible with a steel ramp that they installed from the parking lot (Thanks) . Staff is always friendly and service is great. Pizza is very very very good here and you can taste the quality of there ingredients. Would recommend this to anyone that loves Italian food.
