Old Lahaina Luau takes great pride in presenting an authentic Hawaiian Luau. An evening of traditional Hawaiian cuisine, music, cultural dances and demonstrations. Guests will appreciate a genuine reflection of Hawaii's rich history while enjoying an ocean view and sunset.
Make a reservation for this luau a few months in advance to ensure you get a seat. This is a large luau but there is plenty of space to keep you from feeling crowded. Seats are assigned and you can choose table seating or traditional seating on the grass at a community table which is what we did. You get an up close view of the luau. The whole setting is gorgeous with spectacular views of the ocean and sunset. The luau show is stunning. The dancers tell the story of Hawaii, it’s roots and history. The hula dancing is fantastic as is the passionate storytelling. If you’re on Maui, this is THE luau to go to!

We did not stay at the hotel and only attended the luau. We really liked that the meal was served in family style courses, so we didn't have to carry the food ourselves. The food and service were excellent and we were amazed how accommodating they were for other guests' food dietary needs. The singers and dancers did a superb job of bringing the story to life and making the audience part of the experience. And the narrator had lots of charisma, as well as an awesome singing voice. The ocean backdrop (we happened to get a gorgeous sunset) played well with the story. And you even got complementary leis and an 8x10 portrait.

We have do e several Luaus. We really enjoyed the food and location of this luau. We could watch whales and the cliff dive at Black rock while the sun was setting. We got preferred seating and sat in the front with an unobscured view. Very nice evening

What a great night. The food was delicious and the drinks were plentiful. We enjoyed watching the narrated history of the islands and the fire dancers lit up the space perfectly after dark. We liked the location as we could see the sunset over the ocean. Our souvenier family photo is a great keepsake and we will remember our lu'au fondly.

This was my first time at a luau and I highly recommend this experience for any type of traveler! The staff was friendly from the moment we arrived and were excited for everyone to enjoy the show. The photographer was fun and we loved our photos. The buffet dinner was delicious - everyone in our group went up for seconds! The show was amazing to watch, especially the last performance. I would love to go again! The extra $20 for reserved seating is worth it.

We had a really time good time at this Luau (not just because there was an open bar)! We have been to a few Luau's before, but I think this one was our favorite. They had lots of fun activities for before dinner, they had really, really great mai tai's, the buffet was plentiful and delicious (plus you get to watch them take the pig out of the emu), and the show was spectacular! We really had a great time!

Being the most isolated islands in the world, Hawaii lies in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. With our warm tropical climate, beautiful tropical flowers, serene sandy beaches, and intriguing culture, Hawaii surely is the pearl of the Pacific. Let us share with you Momi ‘O Ka Pakipika, Hawaii the pearl of the Pacific through the music and story of Huaka'i, Journey Through Polynesia.
I've been to several luaus, including a Mauri variation in New Zealand. Generally, I find them a bit cheesy and the food a bit lacking. However, the Hauka'i Luau really was a pleasure. First, we had great seats right next to the action. The food was quite good and a band played while we ate. Then the entertainment started. They had different hula styles and explained how they differed by Polynesian island. We were staying at the Kaanapali Beach Club so the luau was on property and very convenient.

Honua‘ula takes us back to a time when the Polynesians discovered this land of Hawai‘i, thereafter calling themselves Hawaiian. It touches upon the voyages of La‘amaikahiki and Mo‘ikeha who first came to this sacred island we call Maui, specifically this area named Honua‘ula.
I highly recommend this Luau. Such a beautiful setting. The food was delicious and the entertainment was wonderful.
