Niwatari Dainichido is nestled in a rural landscape with a view of Mt. Shirakata. In July, Dainichido has a nostalgic atmosphere as visitors look over fields filed with safflower, Yamagata Prefecture’s official flower. This landscape is the heart and soul of Japan. Access: 8 minutes by car from Nagai Station on Yamagata Railway Flower Nagai Line.
