Our B&B recommended this restaurant as one which the locals enjoy. Whilst it may have been less expensive than many in Bergamo, the waiting staff were frankly rude to us, as non-Italians. We and an American couple were pretty much ignored and put on the most disadvantageous tables, even though I speak Italian. I would not recommend to any overseas visitors.

The service was great and very patient with our lack of wine knowledge and gave us a perfect recommendation. The food was delicious and we enyojed the wonderful and authentic atmosphere. I can strongly recommend this place!

Terrazza panoramica con vista mozzafiato nella stagione estiva e ambiente romantico in quella invernale. Parcheggio agevolato.
The views are amazing and the restaurant does not disappoint. Great service, amazing food and well worth a visit. Make sure you try the pasta and prawn dish.

Avvisiamo la gentile clientela che che la Trattoria Parietti rimarrà chiusa per ferie dal 23 giugno al 2 luglio 2019 Grazie
Heard great things about this place from reviews of our accommodation (La Valletta Relais) so got the hotel to book us in.This was the best meal of our Italian holiday and great fun. The restaurant is decorated in a very interesting way so certainly unique! The waitress was amazing, so enthusiastic and friendly and recommended dishes to us as weâd never heard of many of them. We ended up trying the local specialities of taranga, polenta, frog...all really delicious, different and in huge portions at a ridiculously reasonable price. Great wine too and amazing tiramisu (shared by 3 so big) this restaurant is a must visit when in Bergamo - take the 10 min walk from Citte Alta you wonât be disappointed. Booking essential as was very busy.

Gigi e Alessia welcome you to this restaurant very typical, informal but nice and elegant. Very local cuisine with a careful and passionate quest for raw materials. Particularly noteworthy are the selection of meats (Rabbit, Sheep, Beef, Pork and Cure Mea
Had a really brilliant meal here. It's about 5 minutes outside of the Bergamo city centre, though really worth it. Really cozy and nice ambience inside, with local specialties. I had the salad appetiser with "Pecora Gigante Bergamasca" (lamb meat) and "Casonsei" which is the local pasta. Really enjoyed this!

Traditional restaurant, like in the good old times.
We booked dinner here based on TripAdvisor reviews and we were not left disappointed. The staff were excellent and explained all the specials to us in English. We had a specials meat starter along with polenta with porcini mushrooms. Mains were the most incredible pumpkin gnocchi and Ragu tagliatelle. For dessert we had an Italian version of a creme brûlée and gelato with chocolate and chestnuts. We had the most enjoyable meal and experienced a real taste of italy!

This is a classy restaurant. Set in the heart of the beautiful high town of Bergamo, it is a place for romantic dinners or a relaxed meeting of close friends or business colleagues. So when eight, thirsty English golf tourists crash through the door, it rather took the waiter by surprise. Not that we were loud but we were thirsty and we do enjoy a glass of wine followed by another glass of wine as we are studying a menu, which incidentally is terrific here, because this is Lombardian food and cooking very much at its zenith. So, after a while up came the first, crisp bottle of dry Lombardian white which did not stay long in the glass. Sadly it had not occurred to our waiter to recognise that our group were here to have a good time so we needed our stocks replenishing rapidly and were quite happy to pour out our own wine rather than him serve us.However that is the only criticism other than my main course, a perfectly cooked and flavoursome piece of pork that had been slow cooked over 20 hours, could have been hotter.Otherwise the food was superb, with the glorious casoncelli, a stuffed pasta filled with a sage sauce, butter and pancetta, described by one of our party as one of the most delicious starters he had ever eaten. I had a small tartare of the local beef which was sublime, and only wished a larger portion of it had been available as a main.Plates of local beef and rabbit were eaten clean as we eased into some decent cabernet sauvignon, which was now coming through from the shelves at a most pleasing rate. What for me was the highlight was the local cheese board we all had with a selection of Lombardy cheeses all matched on a plate with appropriate sauces. Our waiter, helpfully explained what they all were plus the sauces, known as marmellate or jams in Italy, but I forget now other than that they were universally delicious.Fire in a complimentary grappa with our coffee and we were eight happy chaps. Our group had been a test for the establishment but it had come through with flying colours.

I visited this restaurant in November 2014 for a business dinner. I found a simple Trattoria, with traditional, not-very-new furniture. The ambient is cold, metaphorically and literally. The food is simple, the dishes are traditional as you would expect from a trattoria like this. All acceptable, if you are looking for a simple dinner.I found the prices not acceptable, definitely too high for the quality and the portions of the dishes. The wine was undrinkable, and the beer was bought from a local supermarket ( or at least the same cheap brand).

Luogo ideale per assaporare la vera e genuina cucina della tradizione bergamasca. à dal 1928 che non facciamo altro: è ciò che ci piace fare e siamo bravi nel farlo
If you´re looking for traditional northern italian dishes, without staying where everbody else are, than this could be your Trattoria! I´ve been there for about five times and almost every one of them I could not resist the famous Pizzoccheri, with origin from Valtellina. If you have never tried it, you must! Here they also serve a very good polenta, with different meat to go with it, but I would say rabbit is maybe the best. For red wine, why not try the Inferno, also from Valtellina. The prices are very fair, treatment is descrete, almost shy. I, for one, like it alot!Dear Svedese38 , thank you very much for your nice words about us!We are waiting for you everytime you came back to Bergamo - Curno Have a nice day and hope we'll see you soon !

I have difficulty understanding the positive reviews on Tripadvisor for this establishment. The location was very good, but my experience was not good at all.The staff were unfriendly and not helpful. Maybe because we are in the middle of tourist season? But there is never a good reason for bad service. They also did not give us correct change, so we had to go back to correct this, which they did.First of all we are not people who want to give a bad service to tourists because most of our customers are tourists. We have been doing this work for many years and I don't think it is correct to write a review where there is no useful but free criticism.
