We booked a room with garden view and ended up in a room with a view to a roof with rubbish. The manager told us this is the garden view - wrong advertisement! Also the room, especially the toilet was not clean. Also they tried to get our money even before we saw the room - now I know why - be careful! The best is the location and the sandwich stall in front of the hotel - amazing Sandwiches!

Ban Pako is an eco-lodge located on an ancient temple site on the banks of the Nam Ngum river, about 50 km from Vientiane. Ban Pako has room for 22 guests per night and the restaurant serves delicious Lao food. It is the perfect place to relax and experience the Lao countryside. Also on offer is a wide range of activities such as jungle trekking, cultural excursions and monthly events.
Peace place in the nature but not so far from vientiane. I have been 3-4 times over the last 8 years... the place has gone done a bit in terms of activities available, but honestly is you want 1-2 night away from the city and lost in the nature with virtually no one else around, i still recommand the place :)

A perfect relaxing, adventurous retreat just a couple of hours out of Vientiane. We have a family of five and lodged in a cabin with 7 beds, it was clean, comfortable and suited all our needs! Beautiful breeze flows through the cabin along with the spectacular view of the lake and serinity of nature. The activities were well managed by friendly staff, we felt completely safe allowing our children to participate! The food was delicious no complaints at all. Thank you Namlik Eco Lodge for the wonderful experience we will be back!!

Ban Eran is a site offering an alternative lifestyle aiming at self-sufficiency in foodsupply, plurality and a nourrishing atmosphere conducive to social reintegration.Eran is keen on restoring and valuing natural and farming land. It is also keen ongathering in one place traditional know-how in natural healing and a collectiveorganistaion around one franco-laotian couple and young Hmong women. Our four guest rooms allow you to contribute in our efforts to bond with nature.
Olivier

This is a restaurant in a lovely villa which apparently had been well established in town before moving to the current location. Run by an Italian and with a French Maitre de, the Italian food was exceptionally good. Excellent fresh pasta, good escargot (yes, I know, French) great pizza and succulent ribeye steak. Also, good wine list with well kept wines. Best meal we had in Vientiane.

2017年1月15日に1泊しました。 部屋はちいさいですが、コンドミニアム式で、安価な割には、快適です。 隣接するレストランにて、ラオ・麺が食べれます。

I rented a room here for K12000. They had K8000 rooms available but not to me - they said they were full. Later I discovered the place was practically empty, they simply wanted me to pay more money. The TV was old – a big box with a small screen showing few channels with bad pictures. The aircon dripped water. No sink plug. Dogs barked at night. Cockerel’s crowed sometimes. There is a noisy building site behind the Inn, however I stopped awhile because I had a balcony. The final straw was when they wanted me to change rooms at nine o’clock in the morning so they could work on the water in my room. I changed rooms to another one in another guest house.

I had one of the cheapest rooms in Vientiane. Still, it was clean and comfortable. It was also secure as I was allowed to park my motorcycle inside the lobby. I had a communal bathroom at the end of the hall but this was still much better than a hostel as I had my own private room. It had an older TV but I still found some English speaking channels. I would stay here again
