The Hotel Porta di mare is a Boutique Beach House Hotel for people who like to rest, away from the city center about 20 minutes by taxi, but easy access and mobility as it is located on the ring road in the area Saint Louis. The beach is a small but nice beach, diagonal and outside the hotel a few meters. The Hotel offers an excellent host of tranquility and relaxation for people looking to be close to nature. Located in an area where a beautiful mangrove forest with diversity of wildlife grows. With only 13 rooms offers a very personalized service to its guests who can feel at home. We offer pool area, jacuzzi and free wifi in the restaurant area. Our rooms designed in a modern and different style offer a pleasant stay to our guests. Registro Nacional de Turismo numero 34656.
We booked this hotel based on the photographs and travellers choice award 2019 on trip advisor and it is the first time in all our travelling experiences we have been unable to stay. We accept that we were very early arriving at the property as check in was not until 3pm. We were however shown our room and advised we could store our bags. The first room we were offered had clearly been unoccupied for some time and was filthy with cockroaches in it. Used bedding was in the wardrobe and it was completely uninhabitable. Not only that access was a walkway over the swimming pool and the railings were broken and dangerous. We were offered a second room which was only slightly better. The bed had been made up but there was mould on the pillows, the fridge was rusty inside and out, broken shower and sink and the list went on. There was no hot water or towels and although no cockroaches was generally dirty and again clearly not been occupied for sometime. The grounds in part were maintained but the swimming pool area was dangerous and had not been maintained, the swim up bar area was derelict and in very poor condition. The Jacuzzi was filthy and had not been maintained. Advertised as Spanish and English spoken but only Spanish. We were unsure what had happened and clearly not the standard you would expect for a property advertised as a boutique hotel at a cost of between £98 and £140 per night. We were extremely disappointed and quite honestly a score of 1, given the price, is over generous in our opinion.

Hostal Marlyn is a traditional house of San Andres island with an area of 7.500 sq ft. It has twelve rooms, comfortable common areas and extensive gardens. It is located in one of the quietest residential neighborhoods of the city.
I stayed here for one night participating in the San Andres marathon. I shared a large room with two other friends. The place is conveniently located in a neighborhood close to the airport which you can easily walk to with a backpack in 15 minutes. Despite its closeness to the airport you do not here the noise from the airplanes. It is very quite. The place is impeccably clean. The room had TV, fridge, microwave, air-conditioner, fan. They don't offer breakfast but you can prepare your own food in a spacious kitchen/dining area. The people that received us were very friendly and provided useful information for sight seeing. There is a supermarket nearby where you can buy your food. The best is to explore the island with the small cars (mula) they rent everywhere.

It's a quite place with a great view of the sea. They provide your with tours to the closest islands or cays, you just have to walk few meters front your room to the port and you are ready to go. Rooms are really clean. I recommend it 100% Es un lugar tranquilo con vista al mar. Tiene puerto desde el cual puedes tomar tours a los cayos más cercanos.

The hotel is very nice. Staff is friendly, a few hiccups on our arrival, but overall good. The location is not great. You feel a bit trapped unless you order a moto or golf cart which can add up if using for more than one day. Rooms are very nice and staff is always willing to accommodate you. But there is not much to do, unless you find some transport out. The beaches are very rocky and best for snorkeling or diving.

Coconut Paradise Lodge is a native inn offering bed and breakfast in a typical ninety years house, symbol of traditional architecture of the island of San Andres. We offer our guests a peaceful stay in a familiar environment surrounded by nature. They will experience a dip in our culture, and we make connections to their visits to tourist sites. Our desire is to meet your expectations and make your visit to San Andrés an unforgettable experience.
Miss Opal and her husband Ramón offer nice rooms in their beautiful, old, wooden house on San Andrés in La Loma which is in the middle of the island, far away from the absolutely stressy center in the north of the island. We have stayed for 5 days, enjoying their hospitability, their kindness, their garden with a huge mango tree providing great breakfast. We were also offered to use their kitchen, WIFI is very good also. Thanks Opal and Ramón, it was a pleasure meeting you.

We stayd here for 2 nights. First, when we arrived they didn't find our reservation. Our room was okay, clean. The air conditioning was working. We rented a motobike via the hotel and it cost 80 000COP for the whole day. The staff was really nice and helpful.

We had a fun stay in this hostel! Tatiana, their receptionist is awesome at her job and does everything for you to have the best possible time on the island. She got us a motorcycle and told us exactly where to go and what to do to enjoy our stay as much as possible. Aside from that, the hostel is very clean and you won't mind the shared bathrooms. Only minus for me was the showers. I didn't find a tube coming out of the wall as shower head to be the most cozy thing.

This hotel is very basic- it provides only a comfortable place to sleep. There is no breakfast provided or any airport pickup. The wi-fi was not working most of the time. The nice thing about the ladies at the reception was that they agreed to do our laundry for us for 30mil pesos which helped us. It is also a 10 minutes walk to the main beach. Good hotel to stay at if sleeping is the only thing required, so don't expect any luxuries.
