I booked a room on a business trip with my colleague. When we arrived we were led to believe we were getting a twin room. It turns out they dont have twins at all, my colleague is a big guy and the "double bed" was tiny. The very nice manager told us he would book another hotel and WE WOULD NOT BE CHARGED so we stayed for dinner, the food was good and we spent €80 and an additional €25 to get a taxi to our new hotel (and €25 back in the morning to our meeting). I checked my bank and we were not charged. When I arrived home I found that they charged us an extra €75 after we left. They refuse to answer e-mails, hang up when I call and will not return my money.

This property is also rated for the best value in Dardilly! Guests are getting more for their money when compared to other properties in this city.
The room was clean but there was a shower curtain in the bathroom which is not corona proof. The sponge that was in the kitchenette had been used many times before, very unhygienic. The wifi was broken which was really inconvenient.

Cheap prices, good location and very friendly staff. Hygiene was a bit off since I found small hairs from the former resident in the bathroom. Rhe staff doesn't speak english so that's problematic if you don't speak French. There's free WiFi available but it's really weak on the third floor, you'll have to go to a common room at -2 for better Wi-Fi where it works perfectly.

Booked an expensive room here through Airbnb. Found out afterwards she had it on Booking.com for cheaper. I ended up having to cancel due to a sick pet which isn't covered under travel insurance. Did she care? No. Because of her strict cancellation policy I only got half of my stay back. For the rest of our trips we got a 100% back. Didn't cost her anything as we were cancelling in plenty of time to re-rent the room out. She doesn't even have the listing up anymore. She's just a greedy woman.

We came down on the TGV from Brussels and caught a cab to rue de Boef where we had to walk a couple of blocks into the old quarter to find Artelit. Frederic met us and we were shown to the room, an absolutely gorgeous collection of world art and comfort. This district is definitely the place to stay in Lyon, easy access to everything in a comfortable walking district and Artelit is one of the nicest places to spend a few days. I wish we could have stayed longer. We hope to return again soon and we'll do just that.

I can highly recommend Domaine du Mont Monnet. The small hotel is privately run and the service and welcoming was very nice - far from the large hotel chains. The room we had was also very nice - modern, stylish, clean, and spacious. The breakfast was fantastic with a selection of everything you could ask for, and delivered fresh to your table. We also had a fantastic 3-course set menu dinner there. The hotel is a 15 min drive from the motorway but the ride there is really beautiful climbing the hills alongside the Rhone river with fantastic views.

We stayed here for 3 nights in a most appalling room in the annexe - the bathroom was like something out of the dark ages and the pillows were so thin that they were virtually non existent. We had to fight hard to get a sufficient number of towels and they were removed by the staff after the second night. Breakfast was barely adequate and a total rip off at 8.50 Euros - we even had a large dead cockroach at the bottom of bread basket which we discovered having eaten the bread. By the third morning even the plastic ham and cheese failed to appear leaving only stale cornflakes, bread, croissant and jam available. However a family dinner on the Friday night was very good with imaginative and tasty dishes served quickly and in a very friendly way. My husband was particularly delighted with his Black Pig pork dish served with a delicious sauce. My filet steak was perfect. The whole place needed cleaning, dead plants removing from reception and it looked as if the maintenance was carried out by someone who had no idea what they were doing. there was a succession of different people on reception and waiting every time we went into the hotel.
