Reviewed By jay pLugar privilegiado para repetir la experiencia. Unos días de escapada al corazón jienense que se han quedado cortos. Era nuestra primera vez en un hospedaje rural, viajábamos mi mujer, nuestra perrita y yo y nada más llegar la atención y el trato súper familiar de Nuria y Salva nos encantó. Ubicación ideal, alejada del mundo cotidiano y emplazada en un mar de olivos, hacen que el relax y la tranquilidad sean soberbias, pero a la vez muy cercana a Cazorla y a supermercados. Tanto por dentro como por fuera, la casita cuenta con matrícula de honor en interiorismo y decoración. Gusto exquisito que hacen que el mínimo detalle no pase desapercibido y capte tu mirada. Las instalaciones son súper completas, lo que hace que tú estancia allí se convierta como en una segunda residencia. La hospitalidad recibida fue sublime, haciéndote sentir especial. Sin lugar a dudas, muy pero que muy recomendable. Alojamiento anotado en el cuaderno de bitácora de lugares de obligado retorno a visitar. Gracias!!

Rustic charm
Reviewed By 47peterjWe drove up from Calpe and once we had left Albacete behind the scenery was beautiful. We weren’t sure what to expect as we had booked four rooms at La Cimbarra on line although the Tripadvisor reports were all good if slightly dated. On arrival we were warmly greeted by the host & hostess and shown to our rooms. All tasteful, clean and fitted out in traditional rustic style. We were invited to sit around the roaring log fire and the hostess brought out tapas of tortilla & manchego cheese. We had preordered lunch which consisted of rabbit and rice, followed by escalope of pork and chips, ice cream washed down with copious amount of vino blanco/tinto. The lunch was not to everyone’s taste but it was good local grub and exactly what some had expected. After lunch we walked round Aldeaquemada an almost deserted village, where was everyone? The only thing missing was tumbleweed blowing down the street. Dinner at La Cimbarra consisted of excellent chicken noodle soup which had been cooking by the roaring log fire, home made tortilla and ice cream. Next morning after a basic breakfast of warm rolls, jam or tomato and olive oil and coffee served in desert bowls (simple but effective) we all pulled on our walking boots to go and see the local waterfalls & cave paintings. The scenery was absolutely stunning and thankfully the weather beautiful. For lunch we decided to drive out to find somewhere different. We came across Casa Pepe in Despenaperros. This place takes you back to the Franco era with uniforms, photos and other memorabilia. Much to some of our friends discomfort lots of animal head trophies also adorned the walls. The food & service was excellent and very reasonably priced and on the drive home through the beautiful national park we saw several golden eagles soaring high. Back to La Cimbarra for a siesta and then later we walked into the village where we found a local bar open in the square and we sat having a drink eating tapas. The more drink ordered more lovely tapas appeared.......a wonderful end to a lovely day. In summary, La Cimbarra is a great place to stay, very rustic and rural location where you have to make your own fun............we did and had a blast.

Reviewed By renolvoNos decidimos por la ubicación y fue un acierto .Eva encantadora ,amable y todo lo que se diga es poco .El apartamento es espectacular te tienes que llevar solo la ropa el resto está allí , espero volver en primavera porque la verdad que me he quedado con ganas de seguir disfrutando de Cazorla

A very Spanish B&B
Reviewed By sabrina wOur hostess could not have been more welcoming, despite the language barrier. This place is indeed close to lake Bolera and is set in beautiful woodland. Lovely walks and restaurants are not too far (not walking distance) the room and bathroom have heating which was a godsend as it was quite chilly at times. Continental style breakfast was ample.

Una casa rural cuidada como pocas
Reviewed By jcarazoCerca del Guadalquivir, muy cerca de Villa del Río, se encuentra La Aragonesa. Se trata de una casa rural bastante grande, para 12 personas, con todos los detalles para pasar un fin de semana relajante. Un enorme salón interior en planta baja y otro en planta alta, habitaciones todas con aire, una cocina muy equipada, y una zona exterior agradable, con barbacoa y cocina para barbacoa. Un sitio muy recomendable para descansar y pasar un buen fin de semana con familia o amigos. La pareja que lo gestiona es realmente amable y están en todo para hacer que la estancia sea lo más confortable posible.
