Mo House

Perfect Place In Porto

Reviewed By gerryo423

Mo house is perfectly situated in the historic centre of Porto. We stayed in room 3 overlooking the Douro River. The room is large and has a small kitchen, bathroom and two small balconies. Breakfasts are full and plentiful and delicious. Diana is a breath of fresh air. She makes time with her guests and although there were a lot of people checking in and out she still made time to talk to everyone. Porto is beautiful and Mo House sits quietly and elegantly in this historic city. I highly recommend a stay here. Thank you Diana and your lovely staff for a perfect three night stay. Friendly staff and cheap!

Reviewed By JordHodge

We stayed for 6 nights in a group of 5 during the UEFA Nations League and only cost €100 euros each! Breakfast was included which we never expected and was open til 11am. Unreal ham and cheese sandwiches. Walk down to the square 10 minutes away and 15/20 to the ribiera, €7 taxi if you don’t fancy an uphill walk back. Staff were so friendly, as we only had one key, he kept letting us in the room if we never had a key and if we used the towels he would happily give us fresh ones if we asked. 5/5

Great restaurant, but basic room

Reviewed By Tim V

The hotel is actually a hostel above the restaurant. The service is friendly and good, but the room is to basic to get the value you payed for. The showercurtain-bar was hanging down which resulted in water around the bathroom. When we left we checked the room for stuff we might have left and under the bed we found a sock from the previous guests. This means that the room or maybe only under the bed itself wasn't cleaned properly. Don't get me wrong, the service was good and the view was amazing, but the room itself was basic. My advice? Go to the restaurant for a great meal, but sleep somewhere else.

Charming tiny house living

Reviewed By RikkeBoeNielsen

If you are into tiny house living, this is the place! Even though small rooms and breakfast area, it is charming, clean and nicely decorated. Excellent location in beautiful Porto. Walking distance to historic center, Duoro River, Metro/tram and the bridge Dom Luis I. Restaurants are right at your doorstep. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Casa 45

Quiet street but in the middle of the city!

Reviewed By randallbrown

Casa 45 is an beautiful retreat after a long day of sightseeing, walking and sampling port in Porto. Casa 45 is located on a street that deadends into a set of stairs which dramatically reduces the vehicular traffic on the street - yet it is only a few steps from many, many restaurants, pubs and sites to see. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakast is superb! Casa 45 is a great place to stay while visiting Porto!!

Monte Carlo Love Porto Guest House

Pleasant .... but needs some attention

Reviewed By louloumadgirl1979

On arrival we were greeted by a staff member, who was polite but a little rushed. They then took us across the road to another building. The room was clean and spacious. However the decor was a little tacky for our liking. Some areas of the room needed attention, the blind was ripped on the sides, hangers were mismatched, most of all the mattress was very uncomfortable. It sagged in the middle.

Residencial Areosa

Very nice staff. Go there if you mainly need a place to sleep.

Reviewed By Nuno V

First of all, bear in mind that this is a 2 star residential, and that my review takes that in account. I stayed for 4 nights. Location: I was there on business, and the places I needed to go where pretty close, so for me the location was perfect. Bedroom: On the negative side, there where some dead bugs smashed on the walls, and the closet was a bit dusty, I think this could be fixed pretty easily by the maid. I'm 1.70 m and the beds where, and felt, really small. Also the door was a bit cheap and it takes a bit to get used to the lock/unlock process. On the positive side, there's a big LED TV with satellite, and the overall look is nice and comfortable. Bathroom: Negative is that it gets all wet after a shower, the glass cover could have 30 cm, that would be perfect. On the bright side, it's completely new and really good for the price tag. Service: It's the genuine Porto feeling, the staff is EXTREMELY nice, and we were really well received and taken cared of. Everything in the breakfast is fresh and on a good quantity. I've had much worse in supposed much better hotels. There's a very good wi-fi signal in the bedrooms (I stayed at 107). A key aspect for the work I was doing was to have full access to the room at any time (24h), which proved flawless. Even at 3-4 in the morning I was greeted with at a smile and that definitely erases all the small details flaws. I recommend it if you need a cheap place to sleep and aren't going to spend much time in the bedroom.
