Cakalang a small hide away. A very friendly atmosphere, clean rooms with fresh water. Good food and our own dive center. Dive courses can be done in PADI and Naui
Me and my wife started with the plan to stay only a couple of nights but eventually stayed for a whole week. We loved staying at Cakalang. Very friendly owner and staff. Delicious 3 times a day meals and very relaxed atmosphere. We spend every of our mornings snorkeling (right in front of the resort wonderful snorkeling place with 500m stretch of coral reefs), mid-days "siesta" at the pool and in the afternoon strolling trough the small village for a volcano sunset. We love to come back for some diving and de-stress at Cakalang.

The room was ok. We did not have an ocean view room which made it less special i guess. The breakfast wasnt great. Just bread, noodles, rice and some unknown tomato stew thingy. Didnt say what it was. Really nice view from our breakfast table though!

Bastianos Bangka is situated on Busabora Beach on the south-western part of Bangka Island. Enjoy a sundowner Drink on the Incredible white sandy Beach or on the freshwater infinity pool. The house reef is one of Bangka’s best dive sites. Dive any time a day, jump from our own jetty in to the underwater paradise.
I spent 10 days quarantining in this beautiful resort. The resort manager Mina is great, always quickly responds to any guest requests and even was able to find me coconut oil in Manado. However, my biggest concern is amount of plastic pollution on the beach. It comes with the sea current straight to resort shore line. It needs a major clean up! Few suggestions : -ear plugs! Jungle noise sometimes is disruptive. -Mosquito spay. -Chocolate and tasty healthy snacks. -Books to read! Internet works only at the restaurant and Only on one device at a time. So for example, connecting cell phone and laptop the same time is not possible. While standard rooms are the most affordable, the biggest minus were paper thin walls! I Could hear my neighbor breath. The best choice is the separate bungalow. Number 10, 12, 14 are the closest to the router and it might have wifi. Beach front units are ok, since the beach is so filled with plastic, and trees leaves. Overall I enjoyed my stay, especially the full service part ( airport pick up& drop off, snacks, scheduling pcr tests, the staff being very accommodating to guests needs).

Sendowan Baru is a small guethouse, situated on the coast of Amurang Sendowan Baru can be your starting point for making many day trips or just the place to unwind in the beautiful garden with pool. A unique place for a pleasant and varied stay. We rent simple rooms with breakfast. You can also take a seat at lunch or supper in the atmospheric, dayroom. The reception and care of our guests is in the hands of Alfrett Tiameledau and Lidya Tambayong, administrators and permanent residents of the house. Sendowan Baru is a project of the brothers Paul and Frank Persijn, and their partners Lisette Schoonbrood and Lut Vanhellemont.
Sendowan Baru was a perfect home base for my bicycle tour of North Sulawesi. Everyone at Sendowan Baru was particularly helpful with advice and practical assistance. I felt much a part of the Sendowan Baru 'family' and enjoyed meeting fellow travellers and locals. Facilities are clean and efficient and the common area is a great space to pass time and socialise with other guests. Good value rooms and fantastic home cooking. Lots of local warungs also close by.

We are a small friendly scuba diving resort on Bangka Island, North Sulawesi. With a resident pod of spinner dolphins in the bay, seahorses on our house reef and a friendly dugong grazing on the abundant sea grass, the aquatic environment is healthy and blissfully free of crowds. The diving is fantastic all year round and we have about 30 dive sites within 30 minutes from the resort. Whether you’re a snorkeler, a novice diver or an expert, you will love the diversity the coral triangle has to offer. We have the highest marine diversity in the world! We have 5 bungalows and 2 backpacker rooms and we welcome divers and non-divers of all ages.
We stayed and dived here for a few days in March 2020 and it was amazing! The owners Hilde and Marijn have done a great job into making Nomad Divers into a little paradise! It was very easy communicating with Hilde as we booked our trip last minute. We got picked up from the beach in Likupang village and taken around to the east side of Bangka. When we arrived we felt very welcomed, were told some information about the resort and then shown up to our room. Our bungalow was traditionally built from wood and was set in the jungle up a path that is well lit at night time. The room had a balcony with a beautiful view of the jungle. There was no power at night so they made sure in the room we had a little lamp that you can manually charge if needed and we had a mosquito net over the bed which kept the bugs out. We had WiFi at the room if we wanted it but only when the power was on. We didn't spend too much time in the room because the communal lounge and dining room space was so nice to relax in. All the meals were eaten together like a big family and the cooks make incredible food!! Sometimes you get lucky to see the Tasiers in the trees next to the restaurant!! They are so cute! The diving we did with Nomad Divers was amazing! The reefs were so colourful with soft corals everywhere and the fish life was amazing! The dive boat they have is pretty new and really nice to dive from. The crew were helpful and the dive guide we followed was great at spotting things! We saw pygmy seahorses, some giant frog fish, an eagle ray, lots of nudibranchs, a huge cuttlefish and even a blue ringed octopus. We did a dive from the beach on the house reef and there was also a lot to see! We wished we had more time to do some diving and snorkelling here but will be back for sure! Overall Nomad Divers was amazing! It is somewhere that we recommend visiting and we will visit again (hopefully soon!)!

This is an excellent place to stay for diving or snorkelling and you are content to live in basic accommodation ie barrel of water for shower and no sink The couple who own this are exceptionally hospitable and the cooking is excellent but we found the noise in the village in the evening too loud , the lack of air conditioning difficult and there was limited places to go during the day. We’ve rated it 4 as this was our fault for not researching the island more and not theirs We paid booking.com for 3 nights but left after the first night The owner is undertaking an extension which will result in more accommodation and showers

2 double rooms with ensuite bathrooms in a true guesthouse. Stunning views of Awu volcano and a lush and cool mountain setting!

Our lodging is located at the end of the bunaken cape, with a view of the city of Manado. Equipped with cafes and restaurants that blend local atmosphere with overseas flavors
Excellent budget option. Convenient location with excellent views across the bay to Manado (would be spectacular at sunrise). The family who run the place are delightful and very helpful. The food is also fantastic!
