Chester Hotel is located 1 km south of Nakuru town, and 2km north of the famous Lake Nakuru National park - home to flamingos. Check in for incomparable comfort.
We visited the hotel with my colleague during this Covid 19 era..first the thermometer was faulty ..I was 33.5..the rooms were dirty and dusty and clearly were not sanitised for a long time..the sheets were soiled and we kept on changing rooms...the security guard is the acting housekeeper so he interacts with everything and does not sanitise..very risky situation... everything about this hotel is horrible and I would not recommend it to anyone who wants to be safe!!

Brand new, Ziwa Bush Lodge only has 9 en-suite units available, offering a boutique experience to its guests. Each individual room is made from local stone, canvas and makuti roofing (folded palm leaves) with its beautifully and uniquely handcrafted cedar furniture made on site by Kenyans living in and around Nakuru town.
Nice environment, limited activities for the kids, good food. Looks so ordinary, mattresses are very bad, my kids had bad body aches because of the mattress not worth a sleep but a day visit. Too expensive for the type of service. Deliver something that has value for money

We spent two nights for New Years celebration. We chose a room with a view of the lake. The Rails on the balcony did injustice to the view. I’d suggest lowering the rails. Food was very underwhelming, swimming pool small and cloudy and the rooms were mouldy. I woke up with a sore throat both mornings. The staff was very friendly, I would not go back though...

Good value for your money. I had a one bedroom suite to myself which was fine as I was travelling alone. It was fairly clean and the daily rate is quite reasonable. Food is also quite good. Only issue is that it is quite out of the way from town and you may need to hire a car if you cannot use public transport. If you are lokking for an affordable place that is relaxing and away from town, this is the place to go to in Kabarak area, Nakuru.

The hotel is in the middle of Nakuru town which makes it easy to move around. The beds are comfortable and it is a great choice for a budget trip. You can read more about my stay here on my blog - Dees Travels
