Stretching from the wooded Dordogne to the towering peaks of the Pyrenees, this vast region is a popular winter sports destination, but one without the hordes that besiege the Alps. Spring's melted snows lure kayakers and rafting enthusiasts. In summer, amateur and advanced hikers take to the hills.

A 10 minute walk from the SNCF Gare this was a convenient place to stay in the city center. Walk to everywhere you want to go and the street the hotel is on has a number of cute restaurants. Rooms are well equipped and would suit a longer stay with the self catering facilities. We had breakfast downstairs which offered plenty of choice. All in all a great place to overnight in Toulouse.

We stayed for one night in a family room. It was clean and comfortable and light. The owner cooked a 3 course dinner for all guests and made a reasonable attempt at vegetarian food. Breakfast was 'help yourself' and was excellent. The best things were relaxing in bed listening to cow bells ringing in the distance and just soaking up the amazing atmosphere on the mountain. Very friendly and helpful owner . A bit of a bad plumbing smell in the room was the only negative.

We attended our son's marriage in this place recently. The location was stunning and the wine from their own vineyard was exceptionally good. The accommodation was beautiful and very spacious and we would love to return very soon.

What a great place to stay. The couple who run it are lovely - I felt like I was being welcomed into their home - a real cultural experience. There is parking available on the street right outside the property or a short walk away in a small car park. They were happy to charge our rooms individually the following morning, despite our booking being non refundable. The rooms are lovely and very spacious and beautifully furnished. We followed our hosts advice on where to dine for dinner - it was perfect. Breakfast was wonderful - a fabulous array of home made yogurt, breads, cakes, preserves and all home made.

Designed following the theme of Big American National Parks, inspired by the most beautiful Américan Lodges, close to the heart of the town of Albi, Albirondack Camping Lodge & Spa welcomes you in a protected site surrounded by trees and greenery. We offer a large choice of unusual accommodation in luxurious "vintage" lodges or lodges on stilts under the shadow of hundred years old oak trees. A cozy retreat and a relaxing pool area.
We stayed here in a Powell lodge for 2 nights. The lodges are spacious and the staff is very friendly. We arrived in the late afternoon and although the swimming was closed at 7pm, we could take a swim with our 5 year old son for about 15 minutes. The lodges do not have airconditioning, so be aware that it can be hot in summer. We used the showers in the sanitary block to keep our lodge cool. The sanitary is very clean and the temperature of the water is very good to control during showering. The swimming pool as well is clean and neat. The restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday, so we didn't eat there but at the pool you can have an ice cream if you want. To the city centre of Albi you can go for a 20minutes walk or take the car (the staff informs you what the best free parking places are in the city center).

We only stayed here for one night en route to Spain. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff are really friendly. We also ate on the terrace where the food was good. I would definitely recommend it as a good stop over point.

This hotel is also know as Chez Louise on Booking.com. After booking our accommodation well in advance in October 2018 they sent a one sentence email to us yesterday 3 weeks before we travel to say they have cancelled our accommodation. No real explanation just cancelled due to family reasons they say. The web sites show that it is fully booked on the day they have cancelled and available the day before and the day after. My husband and friends were staying for one night during the tour de France and have booked flights and trains which cant be changed. Now they have to try and find accommodation for 4 men in a town that is fully booked. Not happy at all and really inexcusable when plans have been made so far in a advance and everything else planned around it. Shame Shame.

Had a family room, was ideal for what we needed. Beds were comfy. Loved the goats wondering around outside, my kids loved it. Wouldn't bother with paying for breakfast, 8€ for and adult and I had a drink, serial and a yoghurt which I think is expensive. Kids are 5€ and they ate the same amount. Reception toilet was disgusting with pee all over floor. No wifi here.

This place is brilliant, it's not a hotel, more a hostel for walkers and do not expect to have your own bathroom or toilet but it is clean and comfortable with lounges and a dining area and kitchen where it seems you can do your own meals. Breakfast is supplied and you prepare it yourself, there is a huge selection of home-made jam, more than I have ever seen in one place before. The two guys that run it speak very good English and are very friendly and helpful and there is a real community atmosphere, we really had a very comfortable and pleasant stay.
