The “Red City” of Marrakesh is a magical place, brimming with markets, gardens, palaces, and mosques. Exploring the intimate courtyards and snaking alleyways of the historic Medina can easily eat up a day. Find inner peace at the serene Jardin Majorelle or take in the beauty of one of the city’s historic mosques (taking note that, unless you are Muslim, you are not allowed to enter).

This was our first visit to a Riad, so we did not have any particular expectations. We were most impressed. The Riad itself is very attractive, well maintained and pleasant to be in. It has 9 rooms with ample open areas. Just as important, the level of service offered by the proprietor and his staff was of a very high standard. We ate there on two nights with other guests, and were very impressed by the meals - they compared very favourably (ie were better!!!) than a much more expensive (and highly rated) restaurant dinner we had on another night. Staying in a Riad (at least as we experienced it) is much less impersonal than staying in a hotel, and that may not necessarily be to everyone's taste. We were fortunate in finding new friends which undoubtedly added to our experience, but it would be perfectly possible to not engage with others if you chose. The Riad is quite close to Jemma el Fna (perhaps 5 minutes or so away), but off in a side area which is very quiet. We strongly recommend this Riad to anyone who might wish to visit Marrakech.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this cozy Riad. This was our first stop in Morocco and we cannot say enough about this experience. Excellent location and close to all amenities. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. It felt like home to us. That is how the staff made us feel. The personal experience we received from Ali was amazing. He was happy to accommodate all our needs and set up our tours. We did a 6 hour walking tour and it was perfect. We gained so much insight into this wonderful city. I would recommend the on sight Hammam for a true Moroccan experience. If you are looking for a more personal overnight stay look no further than Riad Chams. Thank you to Ali, Youssef and all the staff for making our stay so memorable...Shukran.

Great little Riad in the midst of the markets. Nice location right in markets and near many attractions. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was nicely setup and comfortable. A great little oasis in a sea of chaos. Don’t let the little door fool you as to what lies behind.

Riad Aïcha is located in the east of the Medina, near the entrance gate Bab Ailen. This is the oldest part of Marrakech. Here, along the river, was an early Berber settlement. In this working-class part of the city there are not many tourists yet, while you can still walk to the main square, Jamaa-el-Fna, in fifteen minutes. The museums and other cultural attractions are close by from Riad Aicha. Outside the city, the large or small taxi is a very convenient means of transport. These are nearby. We pick up the guests from the airport and take them away, the cost is 15 € for every 6 people. The Riad has 7 air-conditioned rooms and all with a private bathroom. On the ground floor is a spacious lounge with a library, fireplace and TV. There is also a swimming pool to freshen up. On the flat roof are a Berber and a Maurethanian tent where breakfast is served. There is also a hammam where you can get a scrub followed by various Moroccan massages. It is nice to have a welcome dinner on arrival. It is a traditional tagine or couscous with a starter and dessert. Zara makes a daily menu, so let yourself be surprised. The costs are 15 €. If you stay for a minimum of 3 nights and you pay in advance, the 3-course welcome dinner is free!
We stayed at the riad for 7 days, the rooms are clean and there’s everything you need. Rooms are styled according to the Maroccan tradition. The bed was comfortable and we had enough space. The host is super nice and always happy to help you around! Location is super, the riad is located in the local part of the Medina and within 20 minutes walk from the Djema el-fna market. I can definitely recommend having dinner at the Riad, Zara is an amazing cook - best Tajine we have had! Regarding activities, the host offers nice trips to the mountains and the waterfalls!

The whole property is very clean. Breakfast was very good. We had dinner 1 night there and the food is very good. The best filet mignon I've ever tasted, in reasonable price!!! Definitely recommend it!

My friend and I stayed here 5 nights in total and we would definitely stay again. Staff were very friendly. The rooms were small but pretty and clean with lots of blankets. 1000% recommended!! We spent our Christmas break there, for the first time experiencing Riad in Morocco. The entire place is really quiet and clean, also close to the Jemma El-Fna (within 15mins by walking). Our host is awesome, he provided us with lots of useful information, including traveling tips and local Hammam location!!! Breakfast and dinner are really great, and we are also served with mint tea and fresh oranges. Price of these stuff is really reasonable. We’ll certainly stay here again if we can be at Marrakech again. ??

My experience was horrible due to the amount of fraud by the Riad staff. Overcharged taxi service from airport. Normal rate 100rhd, they charged 345rhd. After paying all the taxes, charges rent and tips, we left happily and after 1 week a payment of £44 was taken from my account without informing or consulting me. They lied we broke the toilet. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO STAY THERE. Staff very less English but Hassan English was good.

Only 1 minutes away from the famous Jamaa el Fna square and even closer to the bustling labyrinth souks of Marrakech. Our traditional guest-house combines the charms of a quiet little street in the medina and the proximity to the heart of the old & new quarters of the city. 6 Beautiful suites and 1 double room , All equipped with bathrooms & toilets, split system AC & heating, hair dryers, and wifi connection. The Riad Hamid offers various areas to relax… a large patio with it’s foutain, the main salon & it’s fireplace, and the superb terrasse with solarium offering a large panoramic view of the medina, the Atlas mounts & the Koutoubia mosque. Our traditional Hammam and Massage room are waiting for you to discover a world of magic wellness treatment with only bio products never found elsewhere in Marrakech. Do not miss our traditional restaurant as well; Our talented chef is challenging your five senses by making very delicious Tagines.
This little Riad is in the centre of Medina and few minutes away from the Jamaa El Fna square. The room was comfortable with basic amenities and the staff were very friendly. Abdellah made sure we were happy and he was always making us laugh. We would definitely recommend this riad and will be back again.
