Reviewed By 803leighgIf I could give Los Chulengos a thousand stars, I would. Our overnight stay on this Estancia was the absolute highlight of our two weeks in Argentina. The Palma sisters are wonderful hosts, our accommodations were beyond beautiful and the food was to die for. The setting and the scenery were jaw dropping! I truly hope I can come back here again soon and share Los Chulengos with other family and friends!

Amazing destination in Mendoza´s Uco Valley
Reviewed By Molly HI was lucky enough to stumbe upon La Trucha Tranqui in Mendoza´s Uco Valley. This great property is located 5 minutes away from Casa de Uco, The Vines of Mendoza and Gimenez Riili and is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for top-notch cabins, horseback rides, fly fishing, and a great meal! I highly recommend stopping here while you are in Mendoza!

Reviewed By Roxana GAlthough the facilities are a little bit older, the personnel inside the facilities are amazing !! very wiling to help you in any way they can ,San Rafael it is very famous for been very friendly in general,the pool was cover so we could take a swim at anytime, and also it has a place for barbecue where we did spend good time with friends & family, laundry service it was provided by a very sweet lady who even iron our clothes, I must said that if there is something enchanting about this hotel the big plus it was the customer service they provided to us ,way to go and will definitely be back in the future.

Extremely quirky!
Reviewed By william gGreat views from the site which is a few miles out of town. Access is poor, up a very steep unmade track. The hotel is really a couple of bungalows and a terrace of rooms with a central area. Very unusual property that we think may have had better days. Owners are hugely friendly and helpful.. Inside, bungalow was clean, but double bed only a 4`6" I suppose I would stay again, but La Fiona should not feature on the tourist trail, it's our least favourite part of this lovely country. Breakfast average.

By far the worst hostel I have been in Argentina
Reviewed By Philip_123389This hostel is really bad. First, they gave me a bed in 4 - bed room which was so small that you cannot walk between the beds without pushing them. Second, the staff apart from Valerie is not nice at all. They were baking cake in the kitchen next to my room and have forgotten something plastic in it and everything was in smoke and smell of burnt plastic. When I asked them to stop it because I cannot sleep and my eyes hurt, they asked me to wait 10 more minutes because the cake was for breakfast and it is not ready. So this cake was for the breakfast on the next day. The breakfast is a complete joke. Everything is dirty, kitchen and bathroom as well. There is absolute no fun atmosphere, they ask you to stop talking in the shared room at 12. The only good thing about it is that is in a convenient location on a big street. Absolutely not recommendable for people hoping to have some good time.

I'm quite familiar with traveling the world, staying in all kinds of hotels and lodges, and it's right there in my top ranking. Recently I could't make a reservation in time and stayed in the presidential suite of the biggest hotel in La Rioja and it made me miss the comfort and hospitality I got in GM rooms. Side to side, GM rooms wins in linens quality, cleanliness, decor, breakfast and other amenities (the biggest hotel doesn't have a frigobar nor cold water at your disposal!) Plan ahead and make a reservation. The hosts will make anything to accomodate your needs. They are all very professional and well mannered (another shocking difference from the biggest hotel). You will feel like a guest of honor. Do mind there are stairs to the rooms... though they will help you with the luggage, I see how that won't fit everyones needs.
