Hangliding, helibiking, bungee jumping, snowboarding, jetboating, rafting and skydiving get the adrenaline going. Golfing, flightseeing, swimming with dolphins and soaking in thermal pools are more laid-back temptations. Christchurch, a city of parks and gardens, is the countrys third largest urban area.

The room was clean, warm and quiet and had all the usual extras plus more (tea, coffee percolator, fridge, wine glasses even a corkscrew. The bathroom had bottles of shampoo, conditioner and bodywash and hairdryer. We were able to regulate heating which was great on frosty cold mornings. TV with sky and netflix. Kitchen where you could make meals with a great selection of everything you would need. Open fire was beautiful. Host friendly and informative.

Located in the heart of the Aoraki Mount Cook Village our accommodation is designed to meet the needs of the budget conscious traveller whilst providing the highest standard of service, cleanliness and comfort. We have 16 ensuite rooms, 24 hr onsite management, reception open 830am-800pm daily with 24hour check in available. Free WiFi is included in the room rate as is free off street parking onsite.
For a prime tourist spot this motel is well below par in terms of basics. Briefly, no electric blankets, no plug in hand basin, torn curtains, bedside light not working, TV had no reception, no heated towel rail which meant we used all 4 towels instead of just one, and being really picky - budget cutlery. This property is not up g to speed for our all-important tourism industry, even if it is meant to be budget - it is still below par. On the positive side, the very hardworking lady in reception was patient and helpful in the extreme.

Abisko Lodge and Apartments offer Methven (Mt Hutt) motel style accommodation options close to the foothills of Mt Hutt, Canterbury, South Island, New Zealand. Mt Hutt Ski Area is one of New Zealand’s most popular ski areas with its close proximity to Christchurch, over 680m (2240ft) of vertical and annual average snowfall of 4m (13ft).
The whole story started when we travelled from Dunedin to Methven towing our caravan to stay in the holiday Park associated with Abisko. Once there we found if we hadn't booked a place at the hot pools there was no way we would get in. Guess what. We still haven't been and likely will never make the effort again. Then things went slightly pear shaped and that was reflected when we sat down at the end of the four night stay. First. It is a great wee caravan park. Its intimate and we met and socialised with some wonderful people but that is where it gets its most points. During our time there I do not believe toilets or bathrooms were cleaned nor toilet rolls replenished. The large app 80Litre rubbish bin in the kitchen was full to overflowing the entire duration. A kitchen hob had a do not use sign leaving only one hob for the camp. Further we were advised the SPA Pool had all its chemicals up to date. We tested the dirty looking water assuming there may have been a water supply issue but when you start coming up in a rash the next day, well that says it all, This could have been a wonderful stay marred by these issues. Perhaps the manageress was run off her feet for such a busy weekend but I am sure there were people living in Methven that could have been employed to help. The manageress was most obliging but I believe the owners need to look at their business management plan and look after the people using your facilities. Enjoyed a night in the Dubliner Bar just down the road.!!!!!!!!!

We had a great stay here. The staff were super attentive & helpful. The amenities were basic but really all we needed. The room was clean and spacious. The restaurant exactly what we needed. Would definitely recommend. Only down side is that it is noisy at night with the music from the pub next door.

We are regulars to Tekapo, both staying locally or passing through. The large local resort hotel has passed it sell by date so it was time for something new. Wow, this was outstanding. Huge appartments with fabulous views. Fittings, sofas, en suite all superb. Views brilliant, very clean and bright, definitely a great place. Maybe a little more soap and shampoo, and more coffee. We will definitely be back. We loved it and highly commend this stunning little gem.

This very small motel has only a few units,it looks to have been recently refurbished . It is immaculate inside, the kitchen bench so clean you could use as a mirror. The bed very comfortable and warm. This is a very budget friendly motel that we couldn’t recommend highly enough if you are just passing through Kaikoura. The only negative is the tight parking but if everyone is careful it works just fine.

Wonderful stay! We were located in the pioneer cottage. Upon arrival the heat pump had been turned on for us so the cottage was toasty. Adorable inside, neat and tidy with everything you could need. Hot plate was super handy on the cold nights. Right on the lake front and very close to the church. Will definitely be staying again. Thank you!

Hapuku Lodge and Tree Houses is distinctive boutique luxury accommodation set on a deer farm and olive grove in one of the world's most beautiful locations, between the Kaikoura Mountains and the Pacific Coast of New Zealand's South Island.
From check in to check out everything was perfect, the service, the food, the fit out and more! Emile was very informative and helpful. One of the best hotel experiences, I couldn't fault it. Highly recommend and will definitely return!

We had a pleasant stay here in a 1 bedroom motel unit. These were clean, modern, attractive accommodations that were much more reasonably priced than the Hermitage. Our motel unit had a kitchenette that was well-stocked with coffee and tea; a comfortable living room with a sofa, dining table, patio, and full size bed; a bedroom with a full-size bed and full length mirror; and a bright, modern, well-lit bathroom that had plenty of towels and toiletries. The only downsides were a bit of mildew on the bathroom ceiling, and the fact that housekeeping did not wash our dirty dishes when cleaning the room. Overall, we had a nice stay here, and were so glad we chose to stay here rather than the Hermitage up the hill, which was more than twice the price.
