Situated in the heart of golf country and only 10 minutes from Aberdeen, we offer luxury accommodation within our award-winning restaurant. Whether for business or pleasure, book in with us to enjoy roaring fires and great food , exactly as good old-fashioned Scottish hospitality should be.
I ordered fish pie which had no fish - just prawns and rubbery kalamari. I mentioned to the waitress that the dish was incorrectly described as “fish pie”. It should have been called a seafood pie which I would not have ordered if I had known there was no fish in it! She apologised but no discount was offered - I thought they could have at least given us a free cup of tea or coffee. Not impressed at all and won’t go back.

If you’re on the hunt for great hotels in Peterhead, you will love Harbour Spring. Set in picturesque surroundings, whether you’re here for business or pleasure, you’re guaranteed a comfortable stay. Our delicious carvery sits alongside a variety of pub classics and consists of three meats, cooked to perfection, golden Yorkshire puds, stuffing, gravy and seasonal veg. If you have room for pudding, the choice is just as varied. Find a great wine selection, as well as a range of soft drinks and spirits. We boast an excellent selection of cask ales, from Marston’s five breweries. Our guests can book from a choice of 38 rooms, complete with digital television, en-suite bathrooms and wifi, for an authentic home-from-home experience. Our guests can also enjoy free parking at Harbour Spring. Sleep soundly in a kingsize Hypnos bed, on the Beaumont mattress, which is filled with a wool-silk mix and has a surface which regulates your body’s temperature. You’ll never be short of things to do, in Peterhead. Rich in history, you’ll find several museums in the local area, including the Arbuthnot Museum. Just under an hour’s drive away is Aberdeen, making us an ideal place to stay, away from the buzz of the city. If golf is your thing, head over to the Murcar or Royal Aberdeen golf courses.
Thank you to Kim, Tara and Leanne for being extremely helpful when checking into the hotel and to Kim for assisting us (I was pushing a wheelchair) to get our take away deserts to our room. Nice and clean, Would definitely stay again.

Second visit to this area and on this occasion had a magnificent view from the lodge! Still find the charges for electricity far too high, apparently they are on commercial rates which most would accept as being cheaper than domestic! However we still had a very nice week!

Our holiday properties at Mar Lodge are an ideal base for visitors wishing to explore the magnificent Cairngorms National Park, not only in the spring and summer, but also at its most stunning time of the year - autumn and winter. The original hunting lodge for the estate has been converted into five luxurious self-catering apartments sleeping from 2 to 15 people.
We visited here to take a friend back after some 40 years since her visit with her young family, the tears flowed at the stunning building standing splendidly in the Scottish Sunshine, the rooms looked beautiful with the elegant accessories on show. The ground and views were to die for, a proud building indeed.

This was a first visit to Invercauld Lodges Ballater for my wife and I along with our daughter and her 7 month old Labrador Oscar. We were very surprised what the lodges offered with regards to kitchen facilities everything was there for us. The bedrooms were clean and tidy and the manager Gordon, was very helpful, polite and professional upon our arrival explaining some of the local routes to/from town centre which was only a short distance away. The outside area of the lodge was ideal for Oscar to enjoy the very good weather under the shade of the trees. Having stayed in hotels in Ballater in the past we enjoyed our stay at Invercauld Lodges and will book again in the future. If you haven’t stayed in a lodge then please consider Invercauld Lodges Ballater for your stay - you won’t be disappointed.
