In Vienna, the coffee house isn’t just a hangout: it’s an institution. Lingering over a newspaper with a pastry and a strong espresso drink is, according to UNESCO, officially a Viennese cultural pastime. Walk off your slice of Sachertorte with a self-guided tour of the city’s stunning traditional, Secessionist, and modern architecture, such as the Imperial Palace, the State Opera House, the Kirche am Steinhof, or the Kunsthistorisches Museum, an exercise in ornate geometry.

This half-day walking-tour presents two of Vienna’s most outstanding periods, Baroque and Art Nouveau. We skip-the-line to explore the Upper Belvederes refined interior. The Austria Gallery’s highlight is the Kiss by Gustav Klimt – presented among ten other Klimts and works of his contemporaries like Schiele and Kokoschka. Baroque gardens always hide little surprises – lets decipher them. The open spaces of Schwarzenbergplatz and Karlsplatz offer unique vistas spanning periods from the seventeen-hundreds to WWII. An art nouveau signature building itself the Secession holds another Kiss at the end of Klimt’s “illustration” of Beethoven’s Ode to Joy. At the end, Naschmarkt invites you to explore Vienna’s culinary diversity or just relax with an al fresco lunch or afternoon snack.

Went there to see the masters- Monet and Picasso. Were a little let down on reading that a lot of the pieces were not originals. They were copies. Originals were displayed once in many years. But still, there were a lot of good paintings. The only one i hated was the entire collection by Nitsch. It occupied the basement level of the museum. Unfortunately we started with that. It was bizarre, gory, disgusting, especially after reading that a lot of them were made using blood. Just left a bad taste in the mouth. Wonder why that collection deserved to be showcased. Other than that, good museum. Worth a visit.

I came to Vienna with my wife, who is a big fan of the Wiener Moderne, so of course this tour was a given from the start. Yet, thanks to Julia of Art With Me, it became a revelation and a truly immersive journey into the lives of these artists, the struggles of their time and the reasons why their art is was it is - this experience still resonates in our minds. Thanks a million!

We always like taking a walking tour of a city on the first day so we can get an overview of where else we might like to go. This tour combined the city, the food and the wine into one fantastic experience. Our tour guide knew every little interesting (non-touristy) thing to see and told us all about the city while stuffing us full of delicious local delicacies. There is no way we would have seen so much with a bigger or more traditional tour. Everyone can see the museums and palaces for themselves. We got to see the hidden gems and the “real” Vienna. It was wonderful.

Enjoy an unforgettable journey with the most beautiful classical pieces of Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Schubert and Vivaldi, in one of the most famous churches in Vienna. Acoustics is brilliant, sound is amazing. I'm no expert but the musicians were sensitive with their instruments and it was very pleasant to the ear. The composer's choice was excellent but the program included less familiar pieces ("less familiar" to a non-expert like me). Over all great experience for me and my family (this was the first-time concert for my two kids).
