We counted 21 different samples (but not so small) of regional food. Some interesting revisitations of traditional Ligurian regional cooking: snails, rabbit, "panissa", etcThe owner is nice and full of information about the food he serves. Another good thing is the attention to health: no butter in the food, good for the heart. The price is unbelievable cheap for the quantity and the quality: it's difficult to manage to taste all the dishes!

We ordered a menu for 35 Euros. The first course was a plate of smoked tuna and smoked swordfish- both were delicious. There was a fresh tomato garnish on top that was fabulous. Next course was Linguine and Clams, again, really tasty. The main course was Misto Fritto with many different types of shell fish and fish. Lemon sorbet and coffee for dessert. Our waiter was friendly and provided good service. We would definitely go back.

Cascina Rio Rocca is an old mill from olives about 1800, we have lived all on the old way, and we have revisited old culinary recipe on modern salvationist way, all produced in the agricol farm, olive oil, olive in brine, tomatoes, basilic, etc etcwe try
What a nice place , you cannot sleep there but it worth for meals. I ate for 26 euro a full dinner champagne glass included , really fantastic. All Homemade dishes and a warm warm atmosphere!!! really suggested . it is situated downtown San Lorenzo al mare close to a medium size parking area and 50 meters from main road (Aurelia).

Popped in for a late lunch whilst en route to the Italian Lakes. The restaurant had just finished its main lunch service, but we were nevertheless welcomed by the very friendly staff. Excellent pasta and an outstanding veggie lasagne. Well worth a quick diversion off the motorway!

At few meters from the sea, a tipical ligurian restaurant. In this restaurant you can find tipical and caracteristic dishes but also revisited plates. In the winery you can discover wines from all Italy.
We drove down the wrong street in search of another restaurant in town and happened to stop in front of this one. We were able to get a good glance inside and decided to park the car and return to read the menu. The selections looked fine and the prices seemed reasonable. The owner greeted us as we entered and mentioned that they were not yet open for another 30 minutes. The great aroma as we walked in was the deciding factor for us. The chef/owner took care of us himself and helped select starters, and then a pasta and fish dish along with a local wine. We were so wonderfully pleased with his own creations and thoroughly enjoyed the other courses as well as the wine. Excellent quality, great ambiance, and reasonable prices along with very nice service. What more could one desire????

Following the âOsterie dâItaliaâ we were looking for this very decent restaurant. We followed the chefs recommendation and ordered the three course âmenue terroirâ of special Ligurian cuisine. Trofie with Pesto genovese, filled rabbit, traditional dessert .... thatâs how normal it sounds. But in real it is the most pure, delicious and breathtaking food one can imagine. Surrounded by the perfect match Pigato and a proud smile of chef Andrea as soon as he watches you enjoying his masterpieces of culinary art. Andrea - we got the point and say GRAZIE MILLE for an unforgettable diner experience at your restaurant!

We have been looking forward to trying Osteria Didu for a long time. On a Sunday afternoon, it is packed with locals enjoying their weekend Pranzo. The atmosphere is simple (paper place mats and napkins on the equivalent of Formica tables.) The prices are modest and the dishes favor the thriftier market selections such as sardines and cuttlefish and filling pasta dishes. The service is friendly and efficient. Their wine selection is fairly extensive and not merely bargain bottles. The kitchen is skillful and has a wide repertoire. All and all, a good place to know about when you are in or near Imperia. Perhaps I was not as impressed as I hoped to be, but willing to give them another try.

It seems that Da U Titti has no Michelin star simply because Michelin experts donât go too far from main roads. The cuisine is fantastic. The incredible mixture of tastes. Gazpacho with octopuses. Perfect foie gras. Surprising desserts. Great wine list. Breathtaking moonrise view from the terrace. Reasonable prices for such a place. Last, but not least, the great service. #1 in my personal rating for 2016.
Personale simpatico e disponibilie

Gargantuan appetites essential!Iâve never known anywhere quite like this place. Itâs rustic, bordering on dilapidated and the service is well-intentioned but fairly rough and ready too. You donât come here for an elegant evening. You come for a BLOW OUT.It only does dinner and only does a set menu. But what a menu! We lost count but there were, I think, about 16 courses. We knew there were going to be multiple antipasti and we assumed that the wooden platter on the table bearing many delicious things - 3 kinds of sausage to slice ourselves, olives, pickled mushrooms and much else besides - represented the antipasti in question. But they turned out to be âextraâ. Ten or a dozen different starter dishes were still to come, served successively table by table around the whole restaurant. They were mostly quite simple but all pretty good and I was starting to feel rather warm about the place. But the trouble was, we were effectively full before there was any question of primi. And then along came not one but two pasta courses (both by the way very sound) each of the dishes sent to our table of 2 containing enough for 4 people under ânormalâ conditions, let alone these where we had already been so copiously fed. It was at this point that we had to start leaving huge quantities of food to be returned to the kitchen, and we noticed even the locals were mostly having to do likewise. Then we had to face 3 secondi, again over-catered. It was beginning to feel more like an endurance test than a pleasure, especially as the delays between courses were getting longer and longer â perhaps to give us time to recover our appetites but we were starting to wonder what time we would ever leave.Dessert time brought the first opportunity for choice, so I chose the lightest thing on the menu â a lemon sorbet. Then⦠mercifully⦠coffee!Throughout the meal there had been unlimited quantities of (perfectly drinkable) house wine and house fizzy water â making the 30 Euro all-inclusive price tag even more unbelievable. And with the coffee came a serve yourself bottle of Limoncello. Even this was promptly replaced with a bottle of grappa when we said we didnât much care for Limoncello⦠So staggeringly generous, the whole thing, to the point that we wondered how they could make any profit. But ultimately embarrassing to be rejecting so much food.Such a shame because I started the evening really liking the place for its lack of pretension and generosity. The next day â at Ca Sottane (see my other review) - we found that these huge menus may be almost the norm in these parts, so maybe itâs just our bird-like Northern appetites that were the problem!PS actually Sept 17 but this somehow got stuck in my drafts!
