A modern library with lots of natural light and surrounded by lots of nature outside the building. It’s a haven for the book lovers.

A very good library for its size, with a large collection of foreign language books suitable, which is nice for expatriates working at the nearby University of Uppsala Campus Gotland. They're also very generous about letting short-term visitors have a library card. It has comfortable seating and desks, seldom full, and a convenient self-service check-in/check-out system. It has two disadvantages. One is that it doubles as both the University of Uppsala's library AND the town of Visby's public library. As a result it often contains a lot of noisy small children, which is not ideal for scholars trying to study. The other is that it has a very nice café attached, with some of the best coffee around--but the café is open to the library and all the noise from it comes straight in to the work spaces, even the ones upstairs. I go to the library chiefly for the café, but if I need to work I have to go elsewhere.

The Libraries in Sodertalje consist of the City Library in Luna kulturhus and the libraries in Hovsjo, Enhorna, Jarna, Holo and Molnbo. Together we have a wide variety of books, movies and other services.
