Leaving behind the stress and pace of modern living you will learn to get in touch with your inner Viking on this axe throwing course. In the shadow of the Cairngorm mountains you will learn the skills to be confident with throwing various types of axe under the expert guidance of Wooden Tom. Skills learned How to throw axes safely. Adjusting your technique to get more target hits. How to throw single handed and double handed axes.

Working Pottery Studio in historic blacksmiths barn. A wide range of handmade and wheel thrown unique pottery for sale. Also has original art, prints and cards created by the Potter. Due to Covid19 restrictions, pottery sessions are NOT currently available and safety measures are in place in the shop.

BUSHCRAFT & WILDERNESS SKILLS Enjoy a unique experience in the wild and stunning environment of the Scottish Highlands. Backcountry Survival – 57.19’40” °N, -3.82’30” °W – the furthest North Survival school in Britain provides tailored courses and packages in wilderness survival techniques.

We arrange day trips to Scotland’s most beautiful Wild Tai Chi spots – sandy beaches, shimmering lochs, mountain summits and roaring waterfalls. Tours last for a half day (2 – 4 hours) or full day (6 – 8 hours). We will transport you by car or people carrier to our specially selected Tai Chi spots. Tours start and finish in Inverness. Pick-up location will be confirmed when you book.

Join me in Scotland's great outdoors to develop your landscape photography skills. I run single day workshops for up to four people in the following locations: The Black Isle near Inverness; the Isle of Skye; Wester Ross and Torridon; and Assynt and Coigach. I also offer bespoke photography workshops in a location of your choice. Learn from tutorials, one-to-one tuition in the field and critique sessions which will be delivered in a positive way with the intention of inspiring you, as opposed to denting your confidence! My workshops are suited to beginners and more experienced photographers alike. I believe that the photographer is more important than the camera and so I will help you to improve your skills regardless of the technology you are using. The emphasis will be on perfecting your images in-camera as opposed to in post-production.

The Potter's House Pottery is a family run business. Established over 10 years ago and based in the Highlands of Scotland, the studio has recently re located to Muir of Ord. It's an open studio offering you the opportunity to make pottery items either by hand building or on a potters wheel. You can also choose from over 280 ready made pieces to decorate. Once fired they are ready to take home.
