Ugrin Paikka Cultural Center presents Finno-Ugric culture: languages, crafts, traditional cuisine and others. We present the elements of crops like Finnish, Udmurt, Mari, Komi, Estonian. We do the courses and lessons of culinary school, craft shops, schools of the Udmurt language; as well as communicative training and workshops for personal growth. We organize a two-hour tour of the Sippola village having lunch in the cafe of Finno-Ugric cuisine and great tasting cheese Emmental in the dairy family. We have designed the Quest-game on village Sippola "Mysteries of Ancient Runes" (based on the Kalevala). The game was attracted great interest by high school students (in Finnish), and by adults (in Russian). We had assistance the game by Sergey Morozov (a talented director of teatre in St. Petersburg), his wife (actress) and son (teenager). There are 3 variants of Quest-game: 1 hour (700 meters around the Ugrin Paikka), 1.5 hours (with a visit to the lake Orijarvi) 2 hour (with a visit to the Hevoshaan Arboretum). Welcome!

The aim of Croquis Nights is to train fast sketching by drawing live models and subsequently make animations from those sketches. We start with drawing four minute poses, increasingly shorten the drawing time and end each session with drawing thirty second poses. Every Monday from 18 – 19h at Viipurinkatu 8, 00510, open to all, no experience required and all materials provided by us!

Sámi reindeer herder family living in Inari village. From November to March we have few reindeers in our courtyard fence. When visiting our home you can familiarise, feed and take some photos of them. You can familiarise our Sámi home and culture, participate handcraft workshop activity or cook local, traditional food of local reindeer meat or Inari lake fish with the host.
