We have now used HSC on a couple of occasions, the most recent being a Spring ski two day package for my kids (ages 6 & 3) After the trip, my eldest said to me that when she goes skiing again, it has to be on the same mountain and with the same instructor. That is testament to the effort that the teaching staff commit, the kids love it and their skiing progress is evident. I didn't expect the youngest to be able to even keep her ski boots on, but she also made a couple of trips down the mountain. It was great for my wife and I to enjoy the slopes in the comfort that our kids were learning new skills and enjoying themselves too. We will definitely be returning, thank you

Samurai Yakata is a culture house in Kanazawa’s historic area where we aim at promoting traditional Japanese arts in a lighthearted, fun manner. Here you can experience traditional music and dances, and even wear traditional costumes, like Samurai, Ninja and Oiran (female entertainers) costumes. We perform a show everyday many times during the day, in which we have taiko, shamisen, traditional dances and stage combat performances. For the costume experience, you can either purchase a selfie plan or a photo shoot plan, in which our professional photographer will make you look even more fantastic. Other than this, you can experience the culture closely by trying to play the shamisen, fight with the sword using the kenjutsu technique and so on. Also, if you are organizing and event in Kanazawa, you can book our artists to prepare an opening performance for your event.

I signed up for an intermediate group snowboarding lesson as a refresher after having not snowboarded for at least 5 years. It turned out to be a private lesson with Ben as there were no other participants. I was unsure whether I would remember how to snowboard after a number of years but Ben was always encouraging and was quick to identify to mistakes and bad habits I was making. His advice and attitude to simply have fun made the 2-hour lesson enjoyable and it was a great time of getting to know Ben during that short period of time as well. Thanks for the great time!

This activity is especially for beginners. Whether you participate by yourself, as a couple, or as a family, the program is fun for everyone. You will begin by learning the proper stance, movements, and how to hold the drum sticks. You will then practice a simple rhythm. Finish by playing a short piece together with the instructor. It will also allow you to witness a taiko drum performance. *Advance booking required.
I was a bit hesitant when I booked this unsure of what to expect but it was fantastic in every regard and I am so glad that I tried it! Sana-san and Nobu-san were excellent teachers: knowledgable, humorous, patient, encouraging, and fun! In the class they gave us a bit of background about the culture of taiko drums. They then got us practicing and playing (which was super fun and a great physical work out). The highlight was the demonstrations they gave: Taiko drums are very powerful and their playing is phenomenal. If you are thinking about taking this workshop, don't question it - just do it.
