We've gone to Mr. Taco many times during our last two trips to Valladolid and talk about it frequently in between trips! As others have said, this is the *real deal*: when you eat here, you see many locals coming in with families, as well as lots of locals arriving on motor bikes to pick up take-out orders. The menu offerings are basically tacos & tortas. Pastor seems to be a specialty, with the traditional pastor roast cooking behind the counter. Also, arrachera seems to be another favorite: very tender & spiced beef. The queso is a delicious, mild Mexican cheese, which is melted onto the tortilla before the meat is added. Drinks include bottled soda and traditional beverages such as horchata and jamaica. Although the place is very popular with locals, there are many tables, so there is never a wait. A friendly waiter (who speaks *no* English) will quickly appear once you sit down. Once he has your order, he will quickly bring your drinks and the condiments for your tacos: onions and several kinds of salsa, including a wonderful tomatilla salsa. Soon after, your tacos will arrive: Delicious!! Order lots, because the prices are amazing too: under a dollar for each taco and a bit over a dollar for a torta.

To talk about Yucatecan gastronomy is to talk about rich exotic food because of its intercultural fusion and the way in which colors and flavors blend. Our restaurant offers exquisite Yucatecan specialties among others, and a unique atmosphere. In the mor
Very pleasant restaurant, offering traditional Yucatan food in a pleasant setting overlooking the park. The waiters were friendly, professional and attentive. And the bonus was, free good WiFi!They let me linger over a beer before ordering food. There was traditional pibil on the menu, which smelt delicious at the next table. But I went for the fish, probably grouper, and only 95 pesos. A nice dish. Beer at 40 pesos, and tinto at 55 pesos. A lot less than I was paying on the coast! There are steps up to the restaurant from the square. I didn't notice if the attached hotel had ramp access. The loos were fine and clean, located at the back of the restaurant next to the hotel's pool.A very pleasant late lunch. Would definitely come here again.

Restaurant that offers a wide variety of dishes for all tastes and preferences at really affordable prices; Likewise, it has a park aimed at family fun that has a pool area with slide, wading pool, playground, green areas and two large parking lots.
We were on a tour to Chichen Itza and the Acuatica Restaurant was the lunch stop. There is a large store for souvenir shopping. The restaurant is large and colorful. We had a very nice buffet set up for our group. I found the food to be quite good. The service was attentive. It appears it has a water park attached. It was a rainy day so it was not being used.We would enjoy returning to this restaurant again.

Our hotel reception recommended us to this place for lunch since prices were relatively lower than tourist places. We were not disappointed. My boyfriend ordered chicken escabeche which was the daily special. I had tamal colado. A bit too soft but it was delicious. Service was fast and excellent. The lemonade with chaya definitely helped cooling us down on a hot day. Not sure why some reviewers had problem with their bills. Ours was only 195 pesos.

We went to diner with some friends who have been here for lunch and thought the food was very good. Maybe it's because we stay here for months at a time and have had some really great food we did not find the food in the Very Good category. I had the Aracharra fajitas and my wife had a shrimp dish. Unfortunately they were not the best and my wife's shrimp were very small and not overly favorable. We had the house wine and strangely enough when we ordered another glass we were told they no longer had the house wine and we would have to buy a bottle. The wine we ended up with we normally buy in the store for 87 pesos but they wanted over 400 . Now I don't mind a bit of a mark up but this was crazy. I guess they figured they needed to make as much money from us as possible. So for the gouging on the wine and the average food we will not go back there and I will not be recommending this restaurant to friends and family. I did notice that there are no locals eating here.

If you are looking for a place with good prices, great food and amicable service in Valladolid, look no further. Nicely decorated place, across the street from the zócalo and the cathedral. Go for the yucatecan dishes, they are very well prepared, tasty and not hot. A plus, it is opened until 1AM, so great place if you went to Chichen itzá for the light show.

Renown Gourmet Maya Cuisine. Large wine selection. Tequila and Mezcal. Specialty cocktails. Excellent service in a most unique location and ambiance.
After strolling down the Calle de los Frailes and admiring the high end art and clothing stores, this is an elegant destination for dinner (and wonât cost nearly as much as it would in similar trendy neighbourhoods in the Americas to the north). We enjoyed dining in a well-thatched Mayan-style round house and sampling some of the local specialties. The service was courteous and the food quite enjoyable. True, there werenât many locals dining here but it did not feel like a tourist trap, instead it was relaxing and pleasant. I would recommend it.

This was our favorite restaurant during our two week stay in mexico. The food is so fresh and amazing. We loved the atmosphere of the building and the service is incredible. Every dish we had was so great. Must have dessert are the carrot cake and the apple crepes were to die for. Please visit if you are in the area.Hello and good day. Thank you for your preference and for the recommendation of our establishment. It was our pleasure to be your hosts of an amazing meal time. Definitely the desserts are a most have among all the menu. Hope to have you back soon, best regards.
