Find out what Latin restaurants to try in San Salvador. El Salvador's capital, San Salvador, is a modern city of wide boulevards and narrow streets, outdoor markets, government buildings, high-rises, monuments, an exuberant nightlife, museums and other cultural institutions. And all set against the backdrop of San Salvador volcano. The city is surrounded by shantytowns as well as affluent suburbs with restaurants and large shopping malls. Peaceful settings such as the botanic garden of Parque Cuscutlan provide a break from the city's hectic pace.

The good news is that this is a very inexpensive place to have a meal. It resembles a giant cafeteria and the food is overcooked on steam tables. The service was slow and it was pretty busy. Supposedly this is typical Salvadorian cuisine, but fortunately, I had many other meals that were much better than at Tipicos Margoth.

Went here with a group of folks and the food was fantastic. We met the new phew of the manager who sent us some appetizers to try, each was amazing. The service was fast and they worked hard especially in light of our limited Spanish.

Servers in general have a great service attitude, very welcoming, pleasing and amicable. Services is also very quick. Meals are generously served with authentic flavors and good presentation.I recommend the Lomo Saltado, excellent choice, great flavor. That unique umami flavor makes it the real deal! The restaurant ambiance is OK, in some areas a little warmer than appreciated, specially for a very warm city such as San Salvador, but OK.

I had been at Las Brumas several years ago and was happy to return. The restaurant is in beautiful gardens on the side of the San Salvador Volcano, a short drive from the city of San Salvador. Service is wonderful. I had filet mignon with grilled vegetables. It was excellent. We were a large group, and everyone enjoyed his/her meal. It's definitely a restaurant to visit if you have an adequate budget and time to enjoy the view.

Really enjoy my visits to this restaurant. The burnt cheese roll was too much for one person but the gringa Arabe was perfect. Lemonade was fresh and tart. Great service. Thank you. No wifi where I was sitting.

Having just arrived in San Salvador we asked our cab driver to drop us at a "typical" restaurant in the Zone Rosa and he took us to La Hola. The food was great but very expensive! I had a prawn salad (four prawns) and a margarita for $17. My buddy had ceviche which was $10 and extremely good.

It was an excellent dinner. Good service. Open kitchen concept. Locals mainly, wry nice atmosphere. Birthday celebrations at quite a few tables. Entraña was fantastic! I was very close to order another one, but decided to leave space for desserts. And rightly so! Banana cake was superb, so was flan. Starters were a bit less impressive, compared to main courses, I would say leave out salmon carpaccio- it has to be eaten in northern hemisphere :), focus on local stuff instead.
