Discover Restaurants offering the best Latin food in Punta de Mita, Nayarit, Mexico. Yearning for the laidback feel of a rural fishing village with white sand beaches, combined with the luxuries and mild year-round weather of the Mexican Riviera? Punta Mita has all this plus championship golf, diving, sport fishing, surfing, sailing, sea kayaking, whale watching, mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, Jeep tours, and rainforest excursions. Walk into town for beachfront restaurant dining and Pacific Ocean sunsets. Kids can safely swim at Playa El Anclote, where the rock jetties calm the shallow waters near restaurant row. Surf El Anclote’s long slow waves. Or seek out those special surfing spots along the coast, like near Punta Sayulita. Enjoy kayaking. Take the family sailing. Tee off overlooking the breezy blue waters of the Pacific Ocean at the Jack Nicklaus-designed Pacifico Course, rated among the best in Latin America. Pacifico is renowned for its optional 19th hole, the “Tail of the Whale,” a 199-yard par-three where you tee off over the Pacific Ocean onto a large island green. The Bahia, another Nicklaus-designed championship course, has six ocean holes, and is lined by beach sands and gated resort properties controlling course access. The Bahia Banderas (Bay of Banderas) and north towards Sayulita is great for fishing and diving volcanic tunnels, or just watching whales, dolphins, turtles, and ocean birds. Snorkel color-splashed shallow reefs. Spend a day on a ponga, a motorized open-bow fishing boat in search of mahi-mahi (dorado), pugnacious pargo (big cubera snapper), Pacific sailfish, fighting roosterfish, yellowfin tuna, and bonita. From Islas Marietas and El Morro to La Corbetena and El Banco, the diving opportunities are numerous.

We heard a lot of good things about this place so we decided to give it a try. The location is beautiful and unique in that one can wander around the grounds of what was a private home between courses or after dinner. The service was top drawer, very professional, no question. The menu is brief but I'm sure everyone would find something to their liking. The appie items (salted deep fried yams and bananas) served with an array of fresh salsas were out of this world delicious! The bread was excellent and good bread is very important to me. Salads (lagoverde for my wife, mixed greens for me) were imaginative and yummy. Our disappointment was with the mains. My chicken was really tough. My wife described her fish as 'not memorable'. I can understand that sometimes things don't go right but given the Xitomates price point not really acceptable. So this is a tough call... based on our mains I'd say 3, based on everything else I'd say 5.We regret that your experience was not as good as expected by you. Yes, sometimes, spe in the kitchen, things dont flow as smooth as they should, this is not an excuse, however, we would like to improve your experience with us, and make it up for this, kindly give us the honor of welcoming you again. Do you think we deserve a second chance?Best Regards

Our all-day restaurant encourages interaction, with an open kitchen, live cooking stations, and an exciting make-your-own-meal area. Wake up to a bountiful breakfast buffet, with a fresh jugo verde bar, tropical fruit, and fluffy omelets, cooked to order
Venazu is the breakfast, lunch, dinner restaurant at the W Hotel Punta de Mita. My wife and I ate breakfast and dinner here.Breakfast - You can either eat buffet style, which will run around $30.00 per person after tax and service charge. Or you can order ala carte. Since my wife and I aren't big eaters, we chose the ala carte option. Whether it has the fruit platter, french toast or eggs benedict, each were very tasty and plated nicely. And the frappuccino was strong. Dinner - They have a wide variety of options. Amercan, Italian, and Mexican. One night we split the ribeye steak. It was cooked to perfection and had very nice taste. Coupled with a side of mash potatoes, and grilled asparagus it was a perfect meal to end the day. Tips - At dinner, the meal was started with an amuse and ended with a mini one bite dessert. Restaurant is dog friendly. At least for breakfast.

Enjoy top mexican seafood cuisine and pizzas by speciality chef surrounded by a unique environment. We will wait for you
We saw the sign for our favorite things - pizza and craft beer - and popped in for a pizza to go. There was a fun backyard setting with great street art around the edges. The thin crust pizza was tasty as were the two home made sauces they included. Thanks alot for be here! See you soon again with new surprises! good vibes and good waves!

Carlos, our part time waiter ( he was there all 3 times we went!) also doubles as a boat cruise guide. We had great margaritas and breakfast. We also had great margaritas and dinner. Then we had great margaritas! The restaurant is directly across the street from our condo. Wonderful food.

Autentic mexican dinner. Tacos on the Street. Tacos, enchiladas, burritos, tostadas. Attended by Teresa and family
Great home-cooked food. Very friendly service and the staff speaks passable English. Better than my Spanish:). I love sitting on their four or five tables on the quiet street and talking to the other diners. Very clean and safe eating!

Oh man I don't know why I waited to long to leave the resort and try some of the food options in downtown Punta Mita! The tacos at Tacos & Papas are way better than anything that you would get at a restaurant on the resort. We came here for dinner around 7p and by 8p all the tables at the restaurant were filled! Ironically we came here after reading a "eat like a local" article in forbes magazine, there were pretty much 0 locals here, it appeared to be all tourists but the food was cheap and savory, would definitely come again! We tried one of everything from each section of the menu which meant tacos, quesadillas, the papas, and the flan. You should absolutely get the flan it was the most tasty thing on the menu! The hot sauce they give you on the side is extra hot so try some before your douse your tacos with it. We had the pleasure of watching a few couples not try the hot sauce before eating it and they were left in pain for a good 10-15 minutes after.

Rosa Mexicanos is located in Punta Mita. It is right on the beach â although the beach is rather rocky! The food is really good and the molcajetes were spectacular. The night that we were there, the credit card machine was not working so we had to go down the street and get cash from an ATM. â a little adventure! The sunset was working and the view was great.

Great views over the bay, food very good, fresh fish, real margaritas. Been here about 20 times, never had a bad meal. It is a chain, so food is not original but still worth going to.Thanks for visiting La Pescadora Punta Mita and for this great review. This restaurant is a must visit if you are staying in Punta Mita. It is great to explore local options on vacation and not just stay at the hotel and this restaurant is a perfect night out. It is a small place perched on top of a hill. The service was extremely attentive and the food matched the service. Most the table ordered various seafood options and I ordered a traditional Mexican dish. All guests had the highest marks. The prices were more than reasonable, and the value of the meal receives top marks. The Margarita's though were amazing and strong. I had several of the cucumber chili margaritas. There was a slight kick to them but not overbearing and the flavor was amazing. We would eat there again every trip.Gracias, gracias, gracias!!! Que detalle de su parte el escribir y compartir su experiencia del lugar, recomendándonos ampliamente, súper!! Esperemos su visita al regreso, saludos!Héctor Lòpez
