Reviews on Latin food in Province of Buenos Aires, Central Argentina, Argentina. Buenos Aires (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈbwenos ˈaiɾes], Provincia de Buenos Aires; English: "good airs") is the largest and most populous Argentinian province. It takes the name from the city of Buenos Aires, which used to be part of the province and the provincial capital until it was federalized in 1880. Since then, in spite of bearing the same name, the province does not include the national capital city proper, though it does include all other localities of the Greater Buenos Aires metropolitan area surrounding it. The current capital of the province is the city of La Plata, founded in 1882.

El Baqueano

The Baqueano comes from its etymological root baquía, which means the practical knowledge of the paths, shortcuts, roads and rivers of a particular territory, also the skill and dexterity for manual works and the fact of being a veteran, experienced in pa

Hold on. They did fail at one thing. They failed to be arrogant or self absorbed (which is what we found in one other un named BA establishment). From the moment the door opened to the moment we left, absolutely everything was exceptional.- great degustation selection, one of us had the matching wines and we shared the tastes.- the wines were perfectly matched, add and not removing from the experience (most from Patagonia and really well made).- great variants on standards, like llama done as steak tartare - but constructed with texture and taste and thought.- Alligator dumplings with a great soy based sauce.- palate cleansers to die for (the tomato ice cream).... couldn’t post all the great fotos sadly. Just too much.We sat at the “chef’s table” right on the pass. We saw the care the cooks took. We saw the cooking and the smiles. They loved it.Everything was explained. When plates went out, the were well explained. Service was exceptional and happy.Portions were perfect for such a long degustation. Even the coffee was perfect.Perfect for those who are willing to pay for good food. However, at the currently peso value, you will have to pay 2-3 times more elsewhere in the world for this quality and class. Congratulations to the team at El Baqueano and thank you very much.

Great steak, good service. We didn’t book so had to stand in a queue to get in (so would advise you to book). We were lucky and accidentally arrived earlier and were high up in the queue which grew very quickly. Nice touch as those waiting were given a glass of champagne as you wait!!! Don’t over order one of the bigger steaks would easily feed 2.

Stopped in based on TA reviews as I’m was staying in hotel nearby. I tried to get in Sunday evening and it jam packed so I came back after lunch a few days later. Got a spot, but still crowded. Ordered el diablo and it was outstanding. Good pork sausage with very good sauces to add. Added a lager draft and it was a great lunch. Definitely will go again before my trip ends.

While it's no secret that Argentine beef is worth flying around the world for, visitors to Buenos Aires don't always get the chance to experience an Argentine asado and it's many rituals and traditions. An asado is so much more than a piece of beef on a p

This was worth every dollar/peso and then some. 5 courses with 5 wine pairings with pretty damn good food for about $70 USD was a good deal especially given how liberally they pour the wine. Also, my NY Strip was so damn good and fresh that I didn’t add anything to it. No salt. No sauce. Nada. I just enjoyed it as is. Also, Slylvenia who was in charge of the asado could not have been nicer or more welcoming. What a fantastic experience. I just wish the asado went on for longer. Do it. This is worth it and then some. Thank you so much for your rescomendation S8284BMjamesaIt's great to know that our customers really enjoy our Asado, as much as we do!You will always be welcome to enjoy our tradition together, best regards from the hole Team!!

Did what so many others do, try it once and because the food is excellent you return. The steaks are great, we went with the chorizo and also tried the flank steak which was superb, tender, juicy and full of flavour. The baked vegies are a nice change if you want a vegie hit, it's more like a ratatouille, rustic fries are great too. Staff speak English and they will also provide you with a menu in English.Price is very reasonable and as the open at midday, you can go anytime in the afternoon till late at night

Having eaten in our fair share (or more) of high-end restaurants, dinner at i Latina was truly outstanding and memorable. i Latina, like all the best of the best we’ve been fortunate to experience, has unique flavours, compositions, presentations, decor and service. Words like impeccable, delicious, original and satisfying all come to mind. To top it off the staff were not the least bit stuffy. Rather I felt like they were warm and engaging and offered excellent descriptions of each plate along with just the right amount of friendly conversation. My wife and I had the tasting menu with the full flight of wines. We were really impressed by the wine selections and all were regional and new to us. We were even offered a complimentary additional tasting since we didn’t have coffee or tea at the end of our meal. All in all We highly recommend this restaurant.

The Fogon experience is excellent! The staff take you on a journey through a traditional Argentine asado and explain the cooking process, the ingredients and the history as you enjoy the meal. The wine pairing is carefully thought out - I would recommend the Premium selection! The food itself is delicious and abundant. The restaurant is set up so everyone is circled around the grill in the middle which makes it easy to speak with other guests which I believe adds to the experience. You will leave the restaurant with lots of new information and a full and very happy tummy!Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review us. We are delighted to see you enjoyed your evening with us. At Fogón Asado we aimed to create an experience that would closely resemble the asado tradition of Argentina whilst still feeling indulgent and elegant. We wanted to combine the social aspect of asados, often missed in many restaurants, and the typical cuts with a modern twist and feel. Our goal is for our guests to enjoy themselves, eat some the best meat our country has to offer and, hopefully, meet new people, for asados are always best enjoyed amongst friends and family! We always take great care in the preparation and presentation of our dishes, we love sharing our culture and introducing new people to this wonderful tradition of ours. We hope to welcome you back soon, Kind regards The Fogón Asado team.
