Such a mess! Waiters are slammed! Music coming from the inside and from the beach club are mixing...such a headache! Just turn off restoran music! Waiting way too long for the food and then food came and itâs HORRIBLE! Beef tartar was a grilled meat...Sea bass was so dry I could have choked! Do not waist your time and money! A group of 24 (9 children included) of us ate here and were all very happy with the food and drink which was excellent. One of us try to pay for food all in one but had 2 separate cards rejected twice meaning a trip to the ATM and an unexpected 10% Mexican surcharge on the transaction. When we were about to leave there were just 2 left behind and were surrounded by about 5 staff who demanded an extra 50 dollars as we hadn't left enough tip, unbeknown to us and not advised, we got told we must leave a 10% tip. We worked it out and we were only short by 10 dollars, we gave that and left, it was a really disappointing and intimidating end to the night. We feel a tip should be indicated or given if we feel like giving.Don't hesitate to go here for food but please ensure you keep at least 10% back for a tip.Hi Jamwal 1974. As the operations manager I was there for your table and we thought you had a very nice evening as well thank you for that. I don't remember anybody 'demanding' a tip. We also only had 2 waiters and myself (Raul) working so I'm not sure who the other people who surrounded you were. I'm very sorry the Credit Card machine was malfunctioning that day it was a regional outage and we spent hours on the phone with the bank in the afternoon trying to fix it before dinner service.Of course we would ask you for full payment if you didn't pay us enough to cover the check, as would any business I know of. The check was approximately (more or less) $300 Euros and if you felt any dissapointment from the server staff for not receiving any tip for serving 24 people (including 9 children), I take full responsibility and will review your comments tonight with them.We would never DEMAND a tip. If we demanded tips and acted like that, we wouldn't have the extensive clientele we value so much. It is customary as servers often work as a second job to make money to provide for their family and/ or expenses. In Europe the server staff often makes as much as 5x the salary as they do in the Americas, but the service staff on this side of the Atlantic make their money with tips. 15%-20% is the most common range for good to great service, but 10% is not unheard of. Thank you for your comments and I will follow up with you in a private message.

They have gutted the menu at La Laguna. There are far fewer selections on the dinner menu and 2 of my favorite things were removed. We also had an issue with the manager. We had an issue with an offer on the app that they were promoting while we were there. The waiter hadn't been trained about the app yet and we waited over 45 minutes for the manager to come to our table and help the waiter resolve our problem. We were already done with our meal at that point so the offer (a flight of Mezcal) was moot. I felt like the manager taking 45 minutes to come help a staff member with an issue was too long and it was frustrating and detracted from what should have been a wonderful meal. Also, our main course came out at the exact same time as our tableside guacamole was placed on our table. Terrible timing and sad to see a decline in what was once a wonderful dining experience.

The food was really impressive and there were some tasty vegetarian options available too. Our family also really appreciated our server Marco A. Gregario. He was very attentive, hardworking, and it was interesting hearing a bit about the history of the wine and what some of the Spanish words on the wine label meant.Dear cgreen19,We appreciate your comments about your experience, the food and the service of our staff that serve you. I tend to hold resort breakfast buffets Inlow regard: mass produced, dried out, carbohydrate laden fare. I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious Covina Milagros food was. There were multiple stations with both local and European options: omlettes, quesadillas, arrepas, various breads and pastries, fresh fruit with homemade yogurts and toppings, a multitude of juices, an espresso bar. I especially loved the quesadilla station with a variety of fillings, handmade cord tortillas, and a selection of toppings and salsas.
