New York State has it all – booming metropolises, majestic waterfalls, mountains, wine country, chicken wings. Yes, NYC is a magnet for tourists, but an exploration of the rest of the state can be equally thrilling. The Finger Lakes Wine Region is a vision of serene waters, quaint B&Bs, and pretty vineyards. Movie buffs will love Rochester, home of the George Eastman House and one of the world’s most comprehensive film archives. On your way to Niagara Falls, stop in Buffalo to fuel up on spicy wings.

If you want to step back into a bygone era of the small, cozy elbow touching Harlem parlor, with live "in your face" outrageous jazz musicians, you must come to see Bill Saxton, international world class sax man and lead of the Harlem All Stars
Watched Patience Higgins lead a quartet tonight and left with overcome expectations and a big smile on my face. All four musicians were incredibly talented. I had seen Marcio before and love him and was blown away by the drummer, I feel terrible as I forgot his name, memorable with and without one!

I am no expert on Jazz, just enjoy it. I found the museum quite interesting. Many pictures and artifacts from the early Jazz musicians. Instruments, documents, clothes that they actually wore , items from the music halls and so much more. A lot of 50's items , furniture etc. The first Grammy award info too. This is a part of Americas past, that is being preserved. and well worth the visit, They also have concerts, in 50's style setting. as well as small intimate settings. All in all, if you go for a concert or just to wander the museum , you will find it to be an educational and enjoyable experience.

Enjoy being entertained by great american jazz in a socially diverse, cultured way. The sound of music radiates off the 1880s wooded areas, which allows for natural acoustic listening, considered unusual in these times. The walls and floors are shared by original style wooden and brass instruments played by amazing artists. By sitting in the middle of this area, the musical feel is haunting in the very intimate building. The beautiful design of BrownstoneJAZZ is an extremely smaller version of New York's larger fascinating Music Halls, but just as effective by leaving you astounded. There's a time in the evening when the audience can become a part of the entertainment, and perform with World Class Musicians. The wonderful talent that performs during that time makes it more than an OPEN MIC. The performers in many cases are wonderful artist their selves. Often enough, they have gained showcasing performances, at BrownstoneJAZZ. BrownstoneJAZZ is all about the music. Yet, there must be a break during the festival, to refresh the musicians and audience with a home cooked meal, prepared by the evening hostess DebbieMc. A delicious buffet of our Famous Fried Fish, Slaw and Corn Bread, keeps within another Jazz tradition of a late night Fish Fry. Back in the day you found that the best Jazz and fish fries were found in community houses. Once again after the fish fry seats are filled, and the night continues till the enjoyment of the last note has played. Then the audience many times raise to their feet in applauds, and reluctantly descend from what we like to call 'THE ROOM'. Or, as Lester Holt called it "THE HOUSE OF JAZZ" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Special all inclusive Group JazzTours Available upon request for 15-30 people.)

Just what I was looking for. Tremendous musicians playing great renditions of classic 70s pop songs in a cool jazz style. Dave called it “8track” music. Jared gold on Hammond B3 stoke the show for me laying down the bass on his pedals and sustaining the groove with the amazingly tight drummer.

This is a great jazz club - a national treasure - near the Theatre District in Manhatten, NYC. The space is great - probably not a bad seat in the house and the sound is fantastic. Definitely a great place to go for music aficionados.
