Excellent location walking distance to Shinjuku, and very reasonably priced for the area. Good quality sleep for a 10-bed dorm, guests were respectful and pod-style beds make it easy to have darkness. Overall very clean, staff friendly. Excellent free breakfast included in our stay composed of a choice of 3 paninis, fruits, vegetables and potatoes, as well as buffet cereal. Would be nice to have another quick option like toast as the paninis do take some time to make, but very good quality breakfast. Bar area downstairs and lounges on dorm floors, though I did not find there was much atmosphere overall, but I did not mind as we did not choose this hostel for atmosphere. Overall good value for money.

I stayed in the 6 bunk room with 2 of my friends. The hostel is clean and is very calm. You can often find fellow travelers relaxing in the common areas. This hostel is in a great location as well. Very close to any public transportation.

The room is decent with big lockers, 2 rooms sharing 2 toilets. There is common bathroom and a communal hot bath, that's my favourite place to go everyday. The dressing area is well thought of n spotless clean. Shampoo, shower gel, conditioner using DHC amenity. Hand gel using Pola. 3mins walk to yuigahama station. 7-11, family mart, lawson all within 6min walk. The common area could have better seating. All seats are v firm n upright. It will be better with some to laze on. All staff are friendly except one trainee, when checking in I leave my occupation blank, he insist I need to fill it in. I told him I'm not working n he give me a roll eye look.... The yoga class is nice too... Overall very happy to stay and highly recommended.

Very nice and conveniently located place to visit around Hakone area (next to one of the train stations). Amazing staff: very helpful and really friendly; always giving tips and interesting talks! The value for money is undebatable! Nice onsen on the premises and japanese style comfortable rooms . Really good offer for dinner (pizzas are amazing); you can also use a small kitchen & a fridge for breakfast/lunch. I would recommend this place with no hesitation: it is the perfect guesthouse.

It is one of the most convenient budget hotels to stay in, especially for solo travelers. Sleeping pod is comfy and cosy. The luggage compartment is spacious enough to put an extra large one. It is near many restaurants, mainstream or hole-in-the-wall types. It is near two major train stations that leads you to Shibuya, Harajuku, Ebisu, and such. There is also a bus stop nearby that leads you to Shibuya crossing. The hotel is very clean and neat. Minimalist design. Also, friendly staff. Can speak English. They also provide breakfast, which doesn’t cost much and food is filling. Just enough to get you going for the day.

I happened to stay on the hotel in early November 2019 to mid November, overall the place is nice and very quiet in the night, cooling in the afternoon to tea time period on the 2nd level deck to Kawaterrace to have their craft beer on the deck of where PITSMAN is. I first booked this hotel, taking the standard family room (26sqm) cause of the rate being super reasonable, especially for having a huge bathroom that comes with a shower and a bathtub, and both faces the Sumida River, which is an extra perk! I love waking up in the morning to the Sumida river and natural light! There is little eateries around the area that opens till late night, there is a 24-hr Denny's, nearest mini mart is about 5 to 10 minutes walk away along the stretch of apartments just before the petrol kiosk nearby. There are Lawsons, Family Mart and 7-11 about 10 - 15 minutes walk away, depending on which direction you decide to head from. The area is rather quiet in the day and night if you are walking from Kiyosumi-Shirakawa and Ninyoucho side. Suitengumae is a little more happening in the day to early evening timing due to the many quaint local speciality shops and hidden gem finds. Getting Around; The bus terminal is about 20 minutes away, Tokyo City Air Terminal, the ride is about 1 hour with some buffer time to and from the airport terminals. 3 JR Lines, Kiyosumi-Shirakawa (Hanzomon Line), Ningyoucho (Hibiya Line), Suitengumae (Hanzomon Line), the walking distance is about the same, plus minus about 5 minutes more or so. The room is rather cramp after moving in the 2 luggage, especially if you were to carry a huge luggage (28") and to open it fully on the floor, so walking area will be more narrow. I like how they have a spray bottle of water and vodka to disinfect or take the smell off your clothes and whatever you spray on. TV channels also comes with Netflix, which we sadly only realise that in the last night there, PITSMAN closes rather early like about 1030PM to 11PM range. Food choice in the area is limited in the late night, so you'd have to travel out for it, or head down towards Ningyocho area for some food. Security of the hotel is limited to card access for the lift and after I think 12MN or 1130PM, for entering of premises (Lobby area). There is also no phone in the room, so you would have to use the shared ones that is at where the lift is located on the ledge by the window, just one small alcove there that is really impossible to miss. Easy enough to find place, great view, I would return for the view, to wake up to it.

Cozy, comfy little guesthouse run by a super-nice and engaging young man who is a "modern Samurai" - dresses the part, super knowledgable about the area, very socially engaged with helping developmentally disabled kids in the area. I wish I'd had more time to stay and talk with him, he seemed like such a great guy. He'll even make you breakfast! Convenient location (2 min walk to a bus stop and 10 min walk to Kamakura station). It's a small place, I think it only has two rooms. If you want a "hotel" environment then look elsewhere, but if you want a personal, homey experience, I recommend it highly and want to come back.
