Miya sushi was an unexpected extremely positive surprise. We just went in for some quick sushi to discover the freshest seafood even better than in Tsukiji (wink)).Kuroi san is extremely knowledgeable and eager to share his knowledge. His apprentice of 8 years (!!) was skinning and filleting a flounder and Kuroi san explained difference in texture and taste of upper and lower fillet.The uni was from northern Hokkaido and the sweetest I have ever had. Toro was equally fantastic.Salmon ikura was a bit salty though.Fresh abalone stomach tasted heavenly. The dashi of the local noodle named ume was one of the best ever tasted. The ume pasta was equally excellent. They stretch it by hand amd it has no oil or other fat , just wheat.Definitely worth a detour.
